+ When used around the house generally, suction and cleaning is very good. Easy to dispose of rubbish in cylinder.

- I find it difficult to clean the stairs as the hose does not alow me to get the right angle so the vac looses suction in this position. It also doesn't cope with going round the bend on the stairs. And it doesn't reach the top step.

- the animal vacuum can be very loud when using the extension tube

+ Great at removing deep down dirt from carpets. Great suction.Very easy to move around.

- Difficult at first to learn how to use attachments etc. Find the stair attachement a bit unflexable.More complicated than a standard vacuum. Felt quite heavy initially.

+ Very easy to push around the house. It has a great suction and is great on wooden floors as well as carpets. I like the roller ball which helps to move the cleaner in just about any direction with the very little effort.

- It can be a little complicated when detatching the hose and also remembering how it goes back together. with more use it is now becoming easier.
I think some protection on the removable bagless emptying parts should be added as i have knocked this bit a few times and am frightend of cracking the plastic container, especially when trying to do under beds, tables etc.

+ it's powerful and removes pet hair well, it looks cool and the ball feature does allow you to manoeuvre easier than a normal vaccuum. Disposal of waste is very easy and clean.

- it's heavy and the wand/nozzle features are awkward to use on stairs as it doesnt stretch far enough.

+ Glides round the house with ease, the ball really is a useful feature. Like all Dysons its very easy to empty and clean the filter.

- I struggle to reach the top stair with the animal attachment & the first time I tried it the hose & attachment parted company smacking me in the mouth! This resulted in my lip splitting very badly and I consider I was lucky to keep my teeth intact.

+ The dirt it got out of more (what I thought was) a clean carpet, was fantastic. Light and goes right up to the edges.

- The hose is a bit cumbersome and takes some getting use to.

+ It has extremely effective cleaning power, either using upright or with the tools. Very easy to empty with no bags to replace. Much easier to clean the stairs compared to my previous machine.

+ This is my first Dyson cleaner and purchased it to replace my Vax upright cleaner. The styles looked very similar, but I have to say that the Dyson wins hands down - especially on picking up cat hairs! It also makes light work of hovering the stairs compared to my old machine.

- The only bad point I have found is that it gives me occasional static shocks!!! I think this is to do with the rubber ball - Ouch!

+ The rotating ball makes it easy to move. Great at getting close to skirting boards. Extremely powerful with excellent suction for fantastically clean carpets and floors. Brilliant with pet hairs.

- Hose isn't long enough to stretch from the bottom to the top of the stairs, difficult to get under beds as a little bulky and quite heavy to carry.

+ The suction is absolutely incredible and the front brush is so good it feels like a new carpet afterwards. The ball design does make it easier to maneuver. The extra long cord is great for avoiding changing plug sockets every five minutes.

- It is quite bulky and heavy. Ok for me but some of the ladies would find it harder to get up the stairs. The nozzle mechanism is a bit hard to use.

+ A very powerful vacuum which picks up pretty much everything. The ball makes it easier to move around and the handle is in the just the right place to pick it up and take it up the stairs.

- Its a bit heavy. Also the tools are better to use straight from the hose because the pole is slightly too long to use effectively.

+ Fantastic cleaner, the turbo brush is great on carpet. We have laminate flooring downstairs and this cleaner is great on any surface. Used it to clean the car and it got into little nooks and crannies that no other cleaner has got to.

- The extending hose doesn't reach the top of my stairs and the hose feels a little flimsy (feels like it might snap).

- Far to heavy. Even though ball action still have to manouver about. Find it more awkward than the standard Dyson. Sore on your wrist. Wouldn't buy again.
