+ Brilliant suction

+ Excellent. It picks up everything easily and its great not to worry about emptying a bag. I am very pleased with it.

- The hose is a nightmare. On my other dyson dc04, you could extract wand and attach nozzle for ease of car cleaning and stairs etc, this wand has a hole along the side, which means it doesent pick up very well it just shoots through the sides. Very Very annoying!!!!.

- Getting the hose out of socket is very stiff much more difficult than the previous Dyson DC02.

+ Good design but I personally would like the foot button to be at the front of the machine. Easy to empty, good appearance but perhaps the machine would be better with some rubber round the sides to save the machine scratching when near radiators etc.

- Quite noisy and has a whining noise when switched on. Takes a while to remember how to release and assemble the flexible extension, but still believe it is the best on the market.

- It is not easy to replace hose etc after use. The instuction leaflet does not clearly explain some aspects of the machine. Fortunately I had a Dyson previously so was able to work some things outbut clearer insturctions i.e on all the different tools and emptying the bin and using the hose would be helpful

+ I have always used a dyson. They have never broken ..I have just given them to friends or family so that I can get another one. Dyson helpline is 10/10 they are very helpful. the 5 Year guarantee is great though You rarely have to use it.

- The weight. It's quite heavy for a small person to lift around. The cylinder does not empty as freely as it should. I have to put my hand in and pull the debris out quite often.
