+ The design is small and compact

- The hose does not move easily and often gets kinked. The unit is not very easily manoeuvered around without tipping over. The plastic pipes, besides feeling and looking cheap, are difficult to slot and fix together. It will not pick-up some os the more basic debris, such as fluff.

+ Overall, a very competent cleaner

+ The vacuum cleaner itself is fantastic: We have previously had a Dyson DC01 upright, and to be honest - I found it clumsy and tempermental, so opted never to buy another. I then purchased another brand cylindrical hoover and found everything about it poor, so my husband bought me the DC08 and at first being aprehensive soon discovered that this was 'The Daddy' of vacuum's! It's easy to use, cleans the WHOLE house effectively and the motor Turbine head...... IT's the best utensil ever! It's quite compact and multi functional. I have been converted back to the Dyson family!

- It's a lot of money for the price, the 'wand' is made from a rough silver metal and has a look about it that it's 'not been finished off', it's also a little stiff there too, and I have twice 'nipped' the skin on my hand trying to adjust the length. Also, the turbine head funtion isn't a clear in terms of on/off as it could be: My husband's a gadget freak and after 1/2 hour of 'playing' he still couldn't see how to activate it. (Mayber that's just men)????!!!
