+ Good - web radio is excellent and easy to setup, Ipod dock is very useful, and DAB radio is built-in unlike the BOSE soundwave (alternative that I considered).

- Bad - no bass or treble adjustment possible and so I find the "spoken word" sound is hard to understand at low volumes because there is too much BASS. All sound has too much BASS.

+ Easy to set up on wireless system (search avforums.com if you get stuck) and copes with 64 and 128-bit WEP, WPA and WPA-2. Worth moving radio near router to establish the connection in high signal strength zone.
Awesomely competent at all digital media
iPod dock works well with nano (not tried with others)
Intuitive interface

- Too much bass and no way of adjusting it - but given what it does for the price I can live with this and still think it is a bargain
No Ogg codec

+ It is absolutely brilliant in all respects. I love the way you can see the I-pod details through the viewer at the front of the system.

+ Does it all from one small box, and it sounds great.

- Doesn't work with iTunes library. Having to have a computer running to allow the music sharing facility on the NAT, it might be me missing the setup tho!

Needs TwonkyVision to use PC playback

+ Design is about as simple as you get, very well thought out. The Ipod doc means all my music is now available either by the remote or the ipod itself in the doc. DAB radio is great and the tickerscreen is easily read with three settings of brightness. Still haven't unleashed the power of internet radio...but looks relatively straightforward to set up.

- You only get one in the pack and I wouldn't mind one in my bedroom. And the volume control on the machine (which doubles up as the input selector) needs to be switched back to volume control before (it's simple but annoying say if the phone rings but on the other hand great to prevent the kids whacking up the volume)

+ This is an excellent unit. It covers all areas, the sound quality is superb and in all honesty it is more suited as a HIFI unit, rather than be delegated to a Kitchen or Bedroom. I can't understand why some owners have a problem with its Bass output - I think it has superb bass, I certainly don't find it as strong as some people have been finding.
A very solid and well made piece of kit, typically Denon.

- A little slow to respond to commands from the remote - thats all..

+ excellent integration of the various media formats so they can be played on one machine - Would definitely call this a serious and weighty music machine. Very substantial sound for a relatively small box with bags of Oomph but - why oh why are there no tone controls? Major mistake.
Ipod & CD work beautifully on it. Not yet tried wireless connection. Remote control works well, bit jumpy on volume control though.

- Too much bass sometimes - if only there were some tone controls.
No onboard battery so if you unplug from mains you have to reset the clock every time you power it up.
Radio reception requires a mass of aerial spaghetti hanging out the back - spoiling the beauty of a well designed black box(imagine that next to your bed!). The "ipod style" of rotary function control is clumsy and certainly not user friendly.
