+ Is quite compact, takes up very little space. Can use loose ground coffee as well as the pads.
- Took a long time to stop tasting of plastic, and a bit awkward to clean. It is also somewhat noisy.

+ It looks great, very stylish. Doesn't take long to heat up and you can use your own coffee not just the illy pods.
- I found the steam nozzle a bit fiddly but once I got the hang of it, no problem

+ Makes excellent coffee of various types with a strong crema. The taste is authentically Italian.
- Noisey motor, and aligning the filter to fill two cups simultaneously is exacting.

+ Warms up quickly. Good steamer.
- By far the noisiest of several espresso machines I've owned. Coffee holder too fidly and flimsy. Overall not as good as the Gaggia Classic it replaced.
