- Battery life is almost non exsistent after only 4 weeks! As he wanted to use it in some lectures/seminars battery doesn't last for even one whole lecture which is very disappointing.

Good loud audio. Great widescreen for movies. Connects to TV too.
Graphics card can handle gaming.
I like the Fast Access software quite a lot.
Feels well built; may survive use by children (for some time at least). Doesn't overheat (nice).

No button to disable/enable webcam (as you do for HI-Fi) although there is a light to tell you when its in use.
Cannot dim the row of lights above the keyboard (why aren't they controlled by the keyboard dimmer)?
Registration on Dell site still not recognising the model; can Dell support the product too?
The usual Vista gripes - annoying persistent security questions; lots of apps I don't want, etc.
