Daewoo FRSU20IAI Reviews: Frost Free, Freestanding, Silver fridge freezer

+ We wanted a modern US style fridge/freezer in our newly built kitchen extension. But didn't want to pay the mega price that usually goes with the product. We are absolutely delighted with our purchase, it's modern has has a lighter silver effect than most of these ranges. The capacity of both the fridge and freezer are more than sufficient for our family of four. We also chose this design because it didn't have an unnecessary drinks dispenser taking up valuable interior space. Overall we very please.

- The only bad point, is that we had to take the doors off the get the fridge/freezer in the kitchen. However it was very simple, just one screw either side and they lifted off and again very simple to put back on.

+ There is a great deal of room in the appliance, and having a mixture of shelves and trays is useful.
It's good value for money, compared to similar appliances, including separate fridge & freezers.
The chime that sounds after a door is open for a minute is a good feature.

- The freezer door shelves - they are not that practical for frozen goods, and it would be better if there were less door shelves and therefore larger main shelves.

+ Massive internal fridge/freezer, If you need bigger you'd be as well buying an igloo !! Runs quietly and has plenty of seperate shelf and door compartments. Fridge and freezer both have controls for coldness, overall a really good buy.

- As it was my first american fridge/freezer, the size of it took a while to get used to.

+ Easy to use and good quality finish everything worked from day one and no problems encountered so far

- Only a minor point but the ice tray shelves can fall out if you catch them when getting something from the shelf below. It would be good if they had a stop lip that needed a deliberate action to take out.

+ I've only had it for a month but so far it is brilliant. My old fridgefreezer was set on 5 so I assumed it would be the same for this one but I had to turn the cooling down, the fridge part was actually freezing some of the stuff in it. There's loads of room and it's quite quiet. What more can I say

- It's early days yet but I have nothing but praise for this product.

- Not sure about efficiency yet, seems to cut in an awful lot. A bit on the noisy side, tends to glug occasionally.

+ Looks good. Easy to access. Well designed with wide shelves and plenty of door shelves in both sides. Well lit.

+ Plenty of space. Can see everything and with the shelves being glass you can place something in and it not fall over

- the only thing to watch is the size meaning make sure it will fit through your doors. It can be quite noisy but you get used to that

+ Great fridge/freezer. Lots of space inside and can fit twice as much as a normal fridge/freezer. Good sturdy build which has survived 3 kids so far. Good modern design which would fit well in any kitchen.

- Egg 'box' is just a plastic box, not shaped for eggs. Quite a bit of the freezer capacity is in the doors and hard to use, and could do with a few more shelves (1-2 per side).

- its pretty big - it took some time getting used just seeing it in the kitchen! And the freezer space is quite minimal but has been enough for 2 of us. Occasionally it gets noisy but hasn't bothered me too much.

+ Large capacity and very good price. There are no ice/water dispensers to take up space inside the dridge or freezer which is good if you need maximum food storage space or if you cant have it plumbed in like me.

+ Quiet and cavernous, the fridge has replaced a fridge freezer and fridge we had in the garage. Something that's not mentioned in the spec is that it's flush at the back, so you can back it up to the level of the plug, so it sits very close to the wall. We were concerned that a fridge this size would be noisy - but to us it's barely audible. There is no percieved noise intrusion into kitchen life. Capacity - it easily holds food for a family of three with some space to spare, particularly in the freezer. Overall we're really pleased with it and consider it very good value for money.

- Very minor bad points are; no egg rack, and I've also seen bottle carriers that can be added to the main area of the fridge (slots in on one side like a tray) one of these would have been good.
