+ compact to use, easy to store media files ect.
- just a bit to bulky and slightly heavy to carry

Brian, Bolton
+ Lightweight yet robust. The controls are superb and the sound and video quality is far superior to that of an Ipod. Easy to sync files with Windows Media Player as it uses WMA files. "Zencast" software allows easy download of audio and video podcasts.
- Limited manual. Set up took some time on my computer due to lack of drivers. Would have scored a 9 for "ease of use" otherwise. However all of the information that you require is available on the creative website
Once you have set up synchronisation with your PC, an excellent MP3 player -I.M.O. far superior to an IPOD

+ The press about the unit's battery time has proven to be well earned as, having just returned from holiday, the little gem kept me well entertained during flights and coach journeys, easily attaining the documented battery life. The super bright screen gives clarity, a good range of viewing angles and doesn't suffer from over-saturation. Also, it's pretty much drag-and-drop when it comes to file transfer, which makes it light years easier to use than the iPod's ball-and-chain software.
- Scratches, smears, finger-prints. You name it this thing attracts it.
Buy it.

+ Music, videos, pictures on the go 30GB hard drive ...bigger than the hard drive in my laptop (hehe)... Just incase you feel like recording something it also has a voice recorder with built in mic..
- not many accessories out for it at the moment i was looking for a belt clip or a case with a clip on
Definately the best portable media player on the market closely followed by the archos players and the ipod.. The archos is too bulky and more expensive tho and the ipod is only famous because all the media and celebrity attention its been getting

- Intermittant problems that means I shall be returning the product as faulty shortly.

+ It's got a heap of memory and can store colour photos, etc
- Mine keeps jamming. Says it has a playback error. And there are a lot of tracks that it doesn't recognise. my computer says they're on there, but god knows where they are.
I would swap it in a second.

+ Very nice design with a great display and fairly straightforward interface.
- Terrible reliability and very prone to freezes and lock-ups.
After my second one failed I had to call it a day and buy an ipod.

+ Ease of transferring tunes onto the player Easy to operate Sound is excellent Video very clear
- When entering names of tracks and artists using the software provided you have to click on each field whereas on Windows Media Player you can use the tab key. Also on WMP it will remember previously entered names so you don't have to keep typing them in. The software on the player doesn't seem to have the same facility. The sponge covers on the headphones have a habit of coming off. Controls can be a little oversensitive but are no major problem.
I have had this player now for one month and I am highly delighted with it. I already have 153 albums and a short video on the player with 19 GB still to go.

+ Extra large HDD (30Gb) Very clear screen. FM Radio and excellent software
- Poor case
Fantastic product but buy a screen protector and a leather case. Very easy to use software. Have not found anything to match The Vision M

+ huge amounts of memory, colourful display, useful buttons. I also like the fact that there aren't too many buttons. This can make products much more confusing than they need to be.
- Sound quality isn't quite as good as an iPod and the volume doesn't go as high as one either. I didn't like the ear phones which can with the product either. They were unattractive and the sound was easily muffled by the holes in the back of the ear phone.
Good product but improvements can be made to beat the iPod.

+ Good product, easy to use and set up, music and video loaded from PC to the Zen very quickly. Very good quality screen.
- Touch pad system takes a while to get used to.
Very pleased with the Zen so far..........

+ It has all the features I wanted in an MP3 player. ie mic and radio
- Heavier than I anticipated. Cost and availability of accessories. No docking devices in shops.
Very pleased with my purchase.

- Abit complicated to down load music, for some one no very familiar with computers.

+ Brilliant find - amazing capacity and ease of use given the price
- I'd be amazingly picky, but I'd say maybe some of the aesthetics after wear and tear. But that's to be expected with most devices.

+ Great sound, easy to use.
- A bit heavy. Software has rather taken over my computer - volume control, default music player. This is annoying.
A great purchase. I decided not to buy an I Pod and do not regret this decision.

+ This is the best MP3 player on the market. It's really good having a radio as well. The lay out is easy to read and is easy to operate. You can buy lots of accessories for it. There is no trouble linking it with the PC. Altogether a really easy attractive bit of kit
- The front can get scratched easily, but if you buy the rubber sleeve it protects it.

+ Better price/performance than an iPod
- The user interface is poorly described in the manual and is far from intuitive. It can be mastered though. Can be tricky to get it to start charging if the battery level is low. No charger provided so you need to leave your PC on - that's an expensive way to charge it. A USB charger will do though, such as one for an iPod.

+ Easy User Interface. Good software bundle.
- Software needs to be installed on every PC to charge and transfer files

+ The design, and the quality of the screen.
- It does not have the possibility to organise music like iPod with iTunes.
Excellent mp3 and mp4. Great sound and excellent screen to enjoy movies.

+ Capacity, look and feel.
- Menu system, control takes a bit f getting used to. You can go past song you want etc.

+ i think the 268,000 colour pixel screen is a real plus as when watching videos it is just like a tv, much better than ipod video. The radio is a plus as you can listen to it when you get bored of your own music and its not an extra like with ipod. you can have photos as the background which u cannot on ipod. there is also a microphone which is useful for lectures/lessons for obvious reasons.
- There are no bad points to this product as it has everthing the ipod video has and more. E.g. radio build in and supporting more video codecs which is important if you want to easily get dvds onto the player.
This product is great. i would recommend it to any one, however i would now get the 60gb version not the 30gb.

+ best price
- very poor sound
nowhere near as good as my last mp3 (creative zen touch)

+ Lots of memory allowing savings of loads of music and video, great screen clarity and comes with a radio.
- Doesn't come with software to convert your home recorded DVD (IFO files) to a format the MP4 player can read. This software is relatively cheap to buy but ideally should come with the product since this is a kay area of it's use for me.
I opted forover the iPOD Video based on reviews and have been very pleased with it.

+ The player is a nice size and isnt too heavy, its large capacity easily copes with my music collection and the screen is very clear for video
- Getting used to the sensitivity of the key pads took some time and you often end up down a menu choice you didnt intend to follow
Really nice product which I am very pleased with

+ Easy to load music/images onto through the USB connection.Easy to use controls especially the touch pad.
- No stop button
Although I have never owned an ipod or any other mp3 device before I think the Creative range of media devices are of a much higher quality based on comments from friends and family that have used other devices.I strongly recomend anyone looking to buy an mp3 or such device to give Creative a serious consideration.

+ Very easy to instal music and photo onto unit
- rather oversensative controls until adjustments make through "settings" menu
Second mp3 player and overall the easy of use is quite remarkable when compared with the last one

+ good video and picture. Pretty easy to use and easy to transfer files. No software needed
- Slide button is not working properly. Its not too bad just yet but if gets any worse will have to take it back
If the slide button was working properly I would be very happy with it.

+ Large memory capacity that can hold large video files. Good video quality. Is compatible with more video file types, e.g. AVI, WMV, DivX, than an iPod. Easy to use controls. Good range of features, especially the FM radio & Microphone.
- Could have a longer battery life. Occasionally freezes when skipping through tracks quickly. Could be a litle slimmer. Doesn't come with a power adapter. This has to be purchased separately.

+ Don't need to convert Divx and XVid like other players - most formats copy straight on
- Screen scratches quite easily so i'd recommend buying a screen protector
26 Jul 2007
Northernsoul, Hertfordshire
+ So easy to downloads tracks onto it's childs play. Connects up to your Car Stereo with no problems when using suitable adaptor and sound quality superb Click and Reserve it's the cheapest and most convenient way.
- Bulkier than most I-Pods but makes up for this in so many other way
30 Jul 2007

+ high quality screen easy to use touchpad easy to navigate menus looks modern
- only 28GB Larger than ipod

+ I like this product because you can put many types of media file onto it. Also you and your partner do not have the same make like other mp3 players force you to
- I cannot find a website that I can download music from legally and easily. I have used other mp3 players sites before which were very easy, but when I I have used other sites and tried to add the downloaded music to my player it has not transferred even though the website says it is compatible with a creative zen

+ brilliant piece of kit
- getting used to the touch pad

Dave, Cardiff
+ Great sound quality, and nice design. Very quick charging time with the D/C charger. Can hold thousands of song (more than you'll ever need) brilliant video quality and easy to convert, and comes with many other key features such as photo slide shows, digital clock, alarm, personolized background and my favorite, most played list for all your favorite songs.=]
- Takes a VERY long time on the first charge (5 hours). USB takes longer to charge than other chargers. It's to pretty to take it to the shops just in case you scratch it, and evan with the shock-proof cover on it looks and feels rather big.

+ A range of applications in-built. Shows photo's and can even play video and films. Big screen. A range of colours. High memory capacity. Can use as memory stick.
- Relatively short battery life in comparison to other MP3 players. Middle scroll button can be too sensitive even on the lowest setting and scrolls straight past what you want. Easily scratched. Have to use Creative's own software to load music.

+ Very Easy To Use This Is My 4th MPR And I Would Say Its The Best

Michael, Prenton
+ Excellent sound, easy to use bundled software, fabulous picture quality.
- soft touch scrolling on the scroll button can be a bit sensitive.
05 Sep 2007
Carole, Bristol
+ Fairly logical to use, compatible with lots of other devices, so can buy them to suit your pocket and not the manufacturer. compatible with Napster which helps with updating your music files. I have a USB adapter that plugs straight into the Zen and then into either you computer, the car charger or the mains charger and with a mains or car charger it takes less than an hour to charge.
- There is no queueing system - or if there is, I haven't worked it out yet. More advanced features are a little alien and have little explanation. Battery life could be longer. Does crash occasionally, but the reset button rebuilds it within minutes without affecting the content.
