+ good sound quality and memory size for the price, easy to use controls
- at the time of purchase it was only available in white, and I can't find many accessories for it (eg an armband to use in the gym)

+ Brilliant sound quality, drag'n'drop - no fancy software needed to download music, fm radio built-in (you can record from it as well), depending on preferences: no built-in battery - you can buy rechargeables and have spare one so you can have it up'n'running at all times (no need for usb port to charge unit)
- depending on preferences: no built-in battery - so you have to keep replacing AAA's, not the best design (play-pause button could be bigger)

+ its small
- i bought it because it included a feature allowing recording direct from teh source (stereo) because i dont have a computer. The sound quality was terrible, so I returned the item and got a replacement. The sound quality was still terrible, so i brought it to a friends house to try recording from the computer and the sound was fine. I returned the product and got a refund. I dont think that this should be advertised as recirding direct from a stereo as the sound quailty when you do this is dire.

+ The MP3 player is simple to use, and load music onto with out needing to install anything. It's small enough to take anywhere with you, and fit comfortably into your pocket if you're out and about, or at the gym.The menus are easy to navigate, and the radio works as well as you'd expect any portable radio to. It also has the advantage of taking batteries, so you don't have to worry about remembering to plug it in to you're PC to charge it up. Highly recommended for those that don't get to grips well with technology!!
- The instruction manual that comes with it is very brief, and it's more a case of play about with it to work out what all of the features are.

+ Superbly portable, with excellent sound quality and a very good battery life, the use of standard, replaceable batteries (I use rechargeable ones) means that, when the power does go down, the battery can be replaced instantly rather than having to wait for an internal rechargeable battery to power up. The range of facilities on such a small machine is also quite staggering: I listen to the radio a lot and the built-in FM receiver is very responsive and clear - better than my dedicated Roberts radio that I previously used. In addition, the ability to record a radio programme within the Zen Nano is a real bonus if you hear that something's coming on that you can't listen to all of then. I also like tha fact that you can input audio from analogue sources (eg directly from vinyl) without having to use a computer. A brilliant machine and superb value for money.
- There is some slight trade-off in 'portability v. fiddly control switch' but you soon get used to the small scrolling button.

+ Easy to use, robust, has been knocked around plenty of times, and has been tested in some tough conditions, such as sand, dust and driving rain, and still works at end of the day! This is a tough mp3 player that comes top's, everytime.
- Battery life, good, but slightly short of a ipod, but as long as you have a spare battery or two, which take little to no space at all, no real problem at all.
