+ Good value for money

- I believe to get the most out of the AMD Turion you need 64 bit OS which is not supplied. I also expected the graphics to be better.

+ Very portable, decent memory and hard drive space for its size.

- Poor battery life, very poor screen resolution (looks very watery and pixelated, not crisp at all), awkward screen dimensions (very wide), initial problems with drivers for the hardware, videos/games play EXTREMELY slowly and jerkily when in full screen, overall bad value for money. The biggest problems are definitlely the screen quality and ability to play videos/games, on this front this laptop is completely unacceptable.

+ Fast processor, plenty of RAM, easily connects to wireless networks.

- Very heavy, but I suppose that can't be helped. To make it lighter you need to compromise on performance, yes?

+ Sizable HD screen, Brilliant value, better than average perfomance, good looking, good keyboard layout (for those of you who like to use a num pad ,this hasas one!), suprisingly good quality speakers, good set of features (256mb Graphics card, HDMI conectivity, Card reader, lightscribe etc.)

- rather poor webcam, awkward size (due to the 15.6'' screen it's much harder to find a suitable bag/case however you just need to look)

- Following the instructions I tried to make a back-up disk. The machine would not let me do this. Dixons told me to contact HP. Hp told me that it was Dixons responsibility. Dixon's refused to supply a back-up disk unless I paid for it. A con come scam pure and simple.

+ ergonomically the product is A1, it has a large hard drive and Ram for the price. usb ports on each side of the unit, and a hdmi connection for watching videos and movies on your HD Tv

- The screen has a high gloss finish which causes a lot of reflections making the screen difficult to see sometimes
