+ First digital camera i have owned and love the simplicity of its use and the picture quality is excellent.

- Unfortunately i used up the initial batteries within a month due to using it and finding all the functions out on it. however I have placed 3 sets of batteries from different makes in the camera and the "Battery is low" message still comes up, thus to me it indicates a fault. i have requested from the helpdesk that i can send this one back and get a replacement unit. I do like this camera and hope that it is a one off fault.

+ Very easy to use, AA batteries so no worries about recharging.

- Images can be grainy sometimes for no apparent reason - I have a 2MP Minolta that produces images as good as this. Anti-shake doesn't always work.

+ Clear screen so i was able to view pics quickly and delete bad ones. Good size, not too heavy, but you know it's there. Easy to download pics quickly. (Essential when travelling)

- I had it stolen in Australia the night before i was leaving and so couldn't file a police report.. RIP christmas present.

There are 2 main types of camera: The SLR and the Compact. SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder.
