+ 'Bestshot' feature very good as you have a lot of picture settings, e.g. monochrome so you can take pictures wiht different effects. Very good battery life. Very easy to use and the large LCD screen is very handy .

+ Fantastic size, lightweight, viewing screen works well even in direct sunlight. There is not much shutter lag at all, can point and click and clikc quickly. Has option to use more customised functions if you know how but also works well as point and shoot camera. Best camera I have bought to date.

- Auto focus sometimes prevents photos being taken but it is infrequent. Camera is a little noisy when auto focusing but its only for a split second

+ Light, easy to use, fantastic battery life. Photos seem nice and sharp and have good colouration.

- Case seems a bit flimsy (compared with other digital cameras owned in the family). No viewfinder. Lack of a viewfinder is common on camera at this price, but it's useful to see what you are pointing at when the ambient light is so bright you can't see the display.

There are 2 main types of camera: The SLR and the Compact. SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder.
