+ Easy to use. Simple as it sounds I like the lens cover
- Position of battery, gets in the way if you want to use the veiwer rather than the LCD. Would be better positioned inside the LCD compartment. With it being Canon I thought the image quality would have been better

+ Easy to use and able to access menus to change settings.
- Zoom button difficult to operate and could be in a better position. Effects button on viewer could be better placed. When filming and you wish to press button, camera is likely to shake causing bad picure quality for short time.

+ I bought this camera for my 11 year old son as a first camcorder. He was able to get it up and running without even looking at the instruction booklet and was quickly producing good quality films. For it's price I think it is as excellent quality product.
- Sorting out what lead you need to download films is a bit confusing and knowing whether your computer is up to the job. But friends with more wisdom than me have been quick to sort me out!
