- Taking a Picture Hori/Verti & then turning the camera around, and the image turns with you (very clever)
- The sharpness of the images
- The flash in bad lighting
- Being able to change the ISO to suit the image quality
-
Just the fact that to charge the battery, you have to take it of the camera and on to the docking station. Which means carrying a spare if you are going to be taking loads of pictures is a necessity

great camera, great shutter time, great quality photos. Varying levels of quality on both video and still pictures, and the video when put to the best is very good indeed. . Very easy to use, what more could you want! great camera
-
obviously because its a 10mp camera, it eats in to the memory card alot, so chose your shots/videos wisely, buy a large memory card or change to a lower MP when taking pics/lower quality when taking videos.

Compact camera easy to use would have liked a manual with camera as opposed to have to download from disc. and a straight to mains from camera lead. But overall am very pleased with it.

Excellent build quality, excellent sharpness and versatility. Light weight and handy size.

Close focussing could be better. Menus and instructions very complex if all the possibilities of the camera are to be utilised. Detailed instruction are on DVD and thus are inconvenient to use in the field. A book would have been much more useful.

the picture focus is not that good when u look deep into your picture its a bit of a blur
but when your taking pictures the long distance pictures are good but if you got some
people who are standing a few feet in front of the camera the picture is not that good
thats why i choose the fuji f100 when taking a picture of people in front a few feet away
the fuji is a winner thats why i changed my canon to a fuji f100 check both cameras out
fuji will be the winner.

It doesnt get rid of red-eye automatically. I'm not even sure you can do it manually.
The menu to change settings such as make it B&W, or change image quality is quite hard to use as it's not obvious where everything is.

It's easy to use - the quality is good. I have to say, it's a great little camera and I'm really pleased with it!
-
It drives me nuts that when I am viewing a photograph after having taken it, if I tilt the camera at all (to left or right) the picture then rotates with the movement - it's probably a great design feature but personally annoys me!

BRILANT LITTLE CAMERA SO EASY TO USE YOU CAN JUST PICK IT UP AND USE IT. EXPERIMENTING WITH THE FEATURES BUT SO FAR I HAVE NOTHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT ITS ALL VERY GOOD
-
IMPROMMENTS WOULD BE A BIGGER ZOOM X4 IS GREAT BUT TO GET CLEAR INTENSE QUALITY THE ZOOM COULD BE THE ONE THING TO UPGRADE, I'M ONE FOR CLOSEUPS.
THE LCD SCREEN ONE OF THE LARGEST ITS GOOD BUT AT NIGHT IN THE DARK ITS HARD TO GET THE FRAME RIGHT TRIED USING THE VIEW FINDER BUT ITS NOT SO GOOD AT NIGHT SO ANY ADVANCES THERE WOULD BE HELPFUL.
A MINOR IMPROVEMENT WOULD BE SMALLER OR LITTLE LIGHTER ( BUT THIS IS A QUIBBLE) NOT A BAD POINT I'M A GIRL AND THESE THINGS MATTER IN TINY HAND BAGS AND SMALL POCKETS.

Very compact camera with pretty much all the features of a compact you could want. Built in accelerometer means that it knows which way up it is - very cool if you quickly want to see a portrait picture full screen. Great build quality.
-
Picture quality won't compare to a DSLR, but then you'd have to spend £200+ on a compact for this to be true.

I'm not very technically minded - I get dizzy when I hear about mega pixels and zooms - however this has been very easy to use. The upload to the compuer routine is very good, and it's been dropped a few times and seems to bounce quite nicely with no ill effects. I'd recommend it.

I've had canon before and I love their stuff. This is no different. Very solid camera, takes brilliant photos. Lots of settings if you know what you're looking for and what to change for what you want - but I don't!
-
Can only have the multi shoot function on the manual setting, and takes a while sometimes to take the pic. For example, I play rugby and my girlfriend wanted to take some pictures, every time she tried to do so I was out fo the frame before it took it. So I taught her to half-press on the area to focus, then press fully to take the shot straight-away. I would have like to to have a sports mode so it takes the pic as soon as you press the button.

Canon have made the battery millimeters longer than my family's other Canon IXUS models. We also have a 65 and 70 or 75 and being able to share batteries and chargers was one of the reasons for buying it. We're very disappointed.

Nice, compact design with an optical viewfinder, great for sunny conditions. Body feels nice and solid, metal, not cheap plastic. Great value for money in terms of what the camera can do, has the basic automatic, point and shoot function but also allows for manual modes and different scenery options. Quality of images (10million pixels) is fantastic in a variety of conditions. Would definitely recommend, especially for beginners who want a decent quality camera but ease of use with great pictures. Very user friendly.
-
None that spring to mind.

Camera Type

|
Compact
|
|
There are 2 main types of camera: The SLR and the Compact.
SLR stands for Single Lens Reflex. SLR cameras use a prism to reflect the exact image as seen through the lens and so offers a more accurate viewfinder. SLR cameras have detachable lenses offering greater flexibility if you wish to take a variety of different photographs.
Compact cameras have a built in lens and an ‘above lens’ viewfinder which is less accurate but they are often cheaper, more sleekly designed and easier to carry anywhere with you to capture that moment perfectly without having to fiddle with complex settings or a bag full of lenses.

Not to be confused with optical zoom, digital zoom enlarges a portion of the image thus simulating optical zoom. In doing so, some image quality is lost.
|
Face Recognition

|
Yes
|
|
A function for automatically detecting peoples faces and correctly adjusting the focus and exposure to take the best photo
|
Image Stabilisation

|
Yes
|
If a photo is taken at a slow shutter speed, or at a long focal length, the effects of ‘hand shake’ will be amplified. Some cameras come with built-in image stabilisation which is designed to act against this to produce sharper images.
It’s great for low light shots without a tripod, like at a gig.

Memory card slots come in many formats:
Compact Flash Card

|
Manual Focus

|

Almost all modern cameras have autofocus. Manual focus allows you to override the autofocus and set the distance yourself. This is especially useful if your camera is struggling to focus in a low-light or confusing scene.
|

Yes
|
|
Having a timer function is essential if you want to get into the shot yourself. Make sure your camera has this feature if you plan to go on holiday and capture photos of you and your friends or family having fun together.

No
|
|
An under water feature means your camera is safe to dive with, usually between 3 and 5 metres. Most dSLR cameras will require expensive separate housing so consider investing in a waterproof digital compact first.
