+ This is a very sleek and fast scanner that does its job well. Particularly like the feature where you can put more than one item on the scanner at a time and the scanner automatically separates the images into separate files. It will do this for up to 10 separate small items - or up to 4 standard size photographs. Once the toolbox is set up the scanning becomes a truly 'one-touch' operation and will transfer the images directly into the supplied software or you favourite graphics application. Another good point is the 'power by USB' feature meaning that it does not require a separate power supply adapter. Have not tried the negative scanner unit yet but this is a great feature to have in such a value priced scanner. Overall - a very good scanner compared to my previous one - and an excellent price too.

- The only bad point I have encountered is that Vista keeps asking me which application I want to use with the scanner although I have set up the autoplay options. This only involves one mouse-click though so hardly a big problem.

- clarity of copy bad when using e-mail scan function and I've had to use pdf buttons
