+ excellent handling,good battery life,solid feel ,excellent image quality,good features.8.2 mpixel
- omission of spot meter! The extra cost leather case is a bad design!
This is a great camera, probably aimed at the enthusiast, which is why i think the spot meter omission by canon was a mistake, the only other downside is the fact that you will have to buy a wide angle lens/zoom [28mm], unless you are lucky enough to already own a 16 or 17mm

+ Ease of use.Nice jog shuttle dials make it easy to select shutter speeds and other functions quickly.A very good handling camera nicely balanced.
- No spot metering. Would have liked a bigger rear display.
Produces great results.

+ It's easy to use as a point and shoot, and equally easy to control as you would any pro SLR. It's lightweight and handles really well. The image quality is superb.
- Can't fill this in. Can't think of any.
The camera was recommended to me by another owner and I too have been converted to an advocate as well.

+ Well constructed, controls are egonomically placed, easy to use. Plenty of control over camera settings.
- Shutter is noisy in comparison with 350D. Dust on sensor after only a few months of use - Canon cleaned it under warrenty.

+ It seems to have everything covered and is exactly what I wanted!
- There does not appear to be a large selection of EF-S lenses.
This is the first time that I never got a sachet of silica gel with photographic/electronic equipment!

+ all aspects especially the black and white feature. the software is easy to use and comes with RAW as well, which is an added bonus.

+ Fantastic build quality, and solid construction. Good range of shooting options. Of particular note are the shutter speed and consecutive shooting capability (using a fast CF card). Battery life, even without the additional battery grip is good.
- Still expensive as with all D-SLRs. It's no featherweight.
A great purchase, even at the price.

+ All the benefits of a film SLR with the quality of top line digital. Software supplied also makes life a lot easier.
- Better information on use of software would be a help.
A great price for a great piece of equipment which produces fantastic results.

+ Fast start-up, high speed shooting (upto 5 frames a second), large buffer (take a lot of pictures quickly before it stops to write images to flash card). High quality images at low ASA/ISO. Long lasting battery (I have taken 1000 pictures in 2 days without a recharge).
- Noisy shutter ( 5 pics a second mean things have to move fast ), high ASA/ISO 1600+ pictures can have a pattern that looks like printer banding on them ( mostly in the shadows ). The small image sensor makes it expensive to get a true wide-angle lens
Good product (far better than the EOS 300d I was using before). Not perfect but should suit 99% of serious amateurs / enthusiasts

+ Wonderful camera, easy to use, feature packed and superb image quality. It just feels good in your hand.
- Tiny things could be improved - ISO speed should be easier to set (i.e. in finder like 30D!) and mirror lock-up should be easier to set.
Buy one before they run out of stock! I can't see any point upgrading to a 30D.

+ Very robust efficient camera good feel
- Prefer the On/Off switch on the top as on 300D
