Canon Pixma MP630 Reviews: Canon Office Colour Inkjet Printer

+ the MP630 is brilliant, the Quality of the photos i have just printed (all 300 of them) is excellent,even on the heaviest glossy photo card available, the MP630 not only does all thicknesses of card, but also does borderless printing, which my old printer would not.

- so far found it very hard to find anywhere that actually sells the inks, have had to buy on-line and am still waiting for them.

+ Amazing print quality, great at feeding thicker paper and card and very fast at printing.

- Hard work to calibrate with my Mac to get the correct colours, as it had a very orange hue to it. Takes a while to warm up!

+ Generally good print and scanner performance, fairly easy on the eye as far as can be expected.
Recommended. Good value as an all round printer/scanner. Duplex/CD printing useful.

- Software can be a bit awkward, things have to be done in a certain order, but it gets easier with practice.
Paper selection can have a big effect on print quality, may need to experiment. Good results if care taken.

+ Ink cartridges are cheap to replace and they last much longer

+ Speed of printing. Quality of photo prints. Very quiet. Good compatibility with other machines - PC, camera, mobile. Smart looking machine.

- Size - you need some room to fit it on your desk. Cost of ink - but this is much the same with other machines and actually works out cheaper per print than most.

+ Excellent print quality for the price. Can't fault it. We bought this to use in creating our wedding stationary and have been able to print high quality on 300+gsm paper/card without issues. I spent a lot of time trying to decide between this model and the top of the range model, in the end it was the cost difference that swung it and I certainly have no regrets.

- Very minor - no wireless option for everyday use.

+ Very easy to use, and the prints are great, and I love how quickly it scans things

- A bit complicated putting the inks in as the instructions were not clear, had a job to find where they went, but once I found it it was fine

+ Very good help systems and internal software - printing onto CDs and DVDs is made extremely easy, built in screen is very helpful. Excellent photo print quality. Easy to install and use. Attractive, "smart" styling.

- A little heavy on ink use. Shows a preference for (expensive) Canon brand papers - delivers excellent results with its own brand papers but needs individual evaluation with other brands. That said it is an inkjet printer - not a laser.

+ Good looking unit. Customer friendly. Produces best results when photos printed on Canon print paper, the results on other manufacturers paper is still good.

- Feel it is a bit slow when preparing itself to print. My old printer (Canon MP360) does not feel as long preparing itself.

+ Great printer , ink at little pricey .
