Canon PIXMA iP1800

+ Having updated from the Pixma IP1500 which was also an extremely good printer I am still pleased that the quality is as good in the IP1800 if not better.

- The only bad point with this printer is the very highly priced inks compared to the IP1500 which I found relatively cheap. The printer was quite cheap to buy and I thought the inks would be a similar price to the IP1500 and was quite shocked when I did a search for inks for this printer as they worked a lot more expensive than my previous printer.

- After having a troublesome Epson printer I am unable to find any faults!

+ looks good ink lasts especially if you ignore the warning message that it is running low which comes on too early good print quality at the price easy ink refill procedure

- lacks print tray did not come with connection cable to pc which is very annoying after purchase

+ I bought the printer because reviews I had read were good for the use I wanted to put it to and I have found that it does everything I had expected. The print quality is average and the speed is slow but to print up the occasional directions, recipes and instructions it is excellent value for money and very easy to use.

+ The print quality is exellent, it is fast efficient and has never jammed. It tells you when you are low on ink in good time and I am very pleased with it.

+ When it does start to print, it's extremely quick. It is also very quiet, unlike my previous printer.

- It seems to want to whir backwards and forwards several times before it will start printing. It could also do with a paper tray.

+ A really good machine as cannon seem to make hope it lasts as long as my previus Cannon printer

- expensive ink cartridges not sure if compatible will be okay, as my daughter has a H P all in one and it dose not record ink levels on screen only HP inks

- Paper jams, misprints pages. Uses a lot of ink as you waste a load with the mis-prints

+ only needs one ink tank and dosnt take a lot of room up

- inks could be cheeper then they are I use a lot of in with my crafting and so run out of inks when I cant aford more at the time so cheeper ink would be good.

+ It's very good value for money, especially if you refill the cartridges, (it's so cheap to replace the printer you don't have to worry about negating the warantee by not using genuine cartridges).

- The print quality isn't as good as the pixma ip1500 but that model no longer seems to be available.

- its "footprint is way bigger than it need be; its "case" is shiny black, which shows EVERY possible fingerprint & speck of dust, the printer ink cartridges do not fit as one would expect, which is bound to lead to force being applied
