+ Very easy to use, compact , excellent pictures

- no battery meter, can be a pause between pressing for the picture and the picture actually been taken

+ compact size

- no battery level indicator. cheap silver plastic bits let the product design down.

+ Compact but with a large display screen.

- Only supplied with basic user-guide.Advanced manual only on software-inconvenient for checking techniques whilst out in the field.It took 3 letters-the final one to the MD of Canon-to obtain a printed version.

I would recommend this product - in fact I bought it to replace my Ixus 40 which I lost on holiday -but Canon are not the easiest company to contact & their website isn't particularly easy to use.

+ Battery life seems quite good. Quite responsive (not like other cameras that take an age to take the photo)

- The flash seems to bleach all the colour out of thinks when using in low light. There must be a way to control the the level of the flash. It doesn't allow charging via USB and the battery flap is far to fragile.

An excellent camera for "everyday" use. It is so easy to carry around.

+ A brilliant camera with an amazing ready-to-use time, only takes about 3 seconds to be able to take a picture. Picture quality is brilliant and very easy to adjust settings once you start to become more than an auto photographer - although I have found the auto settings are usually 95% correct.

- Trying to find a case this small is hard.

A brilliant camera, I'd recommend to anyone. Packed full of features. I bought this camera because it went on PCPro's A-list. It hasn't disapointed.

- Standard memory card is pathetic, needs at least 2gb

+ Small, light, fully featured, very clear photo's, big screen, good on automatic, quick to alter settings such as 'no flash' etc.
