- Water has an unpleasant taste when cartridge is new, despite running clean water through a few times.

It uses the maxtra filters so filters really quickly.
You can switch on to boil while it is filtering, so no waiting around.

- We had previous model that died after 14 months so hoping this one lasts longer.....
It is quite expensive for a kettle!

- It's Heavy and it's a shame that the light stays on all the time as it will use more electric.

+ Nice looking kettle. Due to the Filter the water is scum-free (we live in a hard water area and so suffer with lime-scale) and nice and clear when you pour. The kettle is quick boiling and the light changes from red to blue so you can see straight away that it has boiled.

- The only really annoying thing about the design of the kettle is the section where you put the water. It only holds enough water for about half a teapot and so have to boil the kettle twice to get a full pot of tea. It does boil quickly but it is still annoying.

+ once kettle has boiled it has a keep warm function so you don't need to keep re-boiling it. its fresh filtered water

- filter cartridges are expensive to buy, you need 1 a month

+ So easy to use can see by the colour if you have it on or not .
Easy to see when filter needs changing.

+ I really like the style and the large capacity of this kettle. It looks smart and is very quick.

- You have to lift the lid to fill the kettle. You cannot fill from the spout. I am being really picky here because I love the kettle and that is the only thing I can find fault with.
