+ Easy to operate. Lots of useful programmes. Each programme tells you how long it will take.

- Starting the programme sometimes takes three attempts as the button seems very sensitive.

+ It is very quick and efficient. Sometimes I even use the 15 minute cycle and the rinse is thorough.

- I can't work out how to pause the machine when I have forgotten something. I always have to stop and start it again.

- Didn't realise 1400 spin only on certain cycles. Possibly would have upgraded to 1600 then maybe 1400 would have been more readily useable?

- touch controls are a little sensitive - my husband brushed his finger accidentally over a button and set it off for another cycle!

+ Enough programs for wot ever you wont to wash. Large drum and less iron button and clothes are not creased

- Buttons are to sensitive to touch. Even after cycle begins you can change program witch is not good if you have small child

+ Simple to use, clear controls. Good results with all settings.

- Door is a bit "chunky" and needs a firm push to close it

+ Quiet; electronic display makes checking programme status easy; feels solidly built

- Heavy loads (towels) don't always spin fully first time around, presumably because of weight imbalance in drum. Cold fill only, but some may find that an advantage.

+ Easy to use, quiet, good choice of programmes, within each program wash temperature and spin speed can be changed. "Mixed load" program only takes 1 hour, "Quick wash" takes 15 mins.

- The 1400rpm speed and 8 kg load can only be used with the cottons program that takes 2 1/4 hours. Beep at the end of the program (this can be switched off).

+ All programs can be changed, ie lower temp, slower spin speed, completely under my control. Easy to operate dial and soft touch buttons. Uses cold water so only heats the water needed. Its a great washing machine. Larger than usual door and barrel.

- It doesn't do the ironing.

+ Solid build with really easy to read wash cycles on one dial. Simple pause facility.

- Better to go for the 'A' Spin Rated Bosch 32466 1600rpm.

+ Large capacity. Flexibility - can alter temperature and spin frequencies or add an extra cleaning for very dirty things. Delayed timing - can run it on cheap rate nighttime electricity

+ Choice of programmes especially very quick wash and how quiet it is (I live in an upstairs flat!).

+ Wide range of cycles and able to alter spin speed, temperature and cycle time.

- Has a very large drum which is great most of the time but would prefer a "half load" cycle as well.

+ i love the big door opening as it is much easier to load the machine, it's efficient, and i love the quick wash functions, and the ability to change the spin rates.

- i have found that the control buttons are so sensitive that i can sometimes alter the programme accidently, fortunately it "beeps" and i can change it back.

+ Good range of programmes, its cycles are on average 50 minutes for lower tempertures and 100 minutes for the cotton 60 wash. The big 8k drum means I can get my washing completed faster while presumably using less energy than previously. The timer function is handy for those of us with Economy 7 Electric. I was able to install the machine myself with relative ease.

- Operating instructions are terrible, its a leaflet with diagrams, if anyone can tell me how to turn off the beep signal at the end of the wash I'd be grateful, the instructions indicate that it can be done, but I can't work it out! Would be helpful if there was an inbuilt weight indicator so you don't have to guess if your cottons are too heavy....

- Its goes through a sequence to redistribute the load before starting a spin. If you only have one item that is water laden, on occassion, it will eventually give up after several attempts.

- Plasticky Door and soap dispenser drawer,which I feel won't last well Many programmes at very high temperatures whereas ,I like to use 30 degrees or less

+ Very easy to use. It's pretty quiet and the digital display gives the cycle times, temperature and spin rate. The drum is large which means you're less likely to overfill it. I'm very pleased with the machine and would recommend it to a friend.

- None, although it would be nice to have a half load feature. To be fair, I knew this before I bought it.

- If you touch up against the machine while it is working you can inadvertently change the wash programme mid-cycle.

- Bit noisy (but nothing ugly) and can't, for the life of me, work out from the instructions how to lower the volume on the end-of-cycle beep.

+ This machine has a faster cycle than a lot of other brands available. It washes the clothes very well. I am pleased with the result. A large door which is set higher than my previous machine thus making it easier to load and unload. The larger door also assists in checking that the last red sock is not hiding before I put in the white sheets!

- Perhaps a little noisier that some other brands but its good points outweigh this.

+ Absolutely love it! Quick, easy to use - fantastic. Has halved my washing time and the large drum has reduced the amount of loads i do.

- the cycle time can be a bit long i.e. 2hrs; if you want 'whiter than white'. The toddler high control dial is not todler proof - could be a problem if your little darling twiddles with it during a cycle.

+ My "house husband" was a bit apprehensive when he first saw all the buttons on his new "toy", but was soon won over by its efficiency, capacity, flexibility and quietness. Now he can't stop washing things - the cats are starting to eye him warily!

- Can't really think of any. Buttons are a bit sensitive and the programs are almost too flexible! Oh and it would be nice if it did the ironing too!

- Annoying beeping noise when the cycle finishes. It never stops until you turn it off.

+ Excellent product - good choice of useful programmes. 1400 spin has reduced drying times in the dryer - hope to see reduced electric bills! No noisier than old 14 year old Bosch with 1000 spin. Reccomend the 8Kg load - very good for bedding etc.

- List price - good value with deal price.

+ I love the spin speed, it really makes a difference to drying times both on the line and in the tumble dryer. I like the ability to alter spin speed and temperature to suit the load and the time display to inform me when i need to return to put the next wash in.

+ brilliant.The drumsize means washing a huge load is no longer a problem .sooo much fits in .Just followed the bosch advice re which programs to use and the laundry is immaculate.The superquick wash is only 15 mins !laundry almost dry when spin 1400rpm used.Very quite and beeps when wash finishes..the delay timer for putting on washes later at nightor whenever you want is excellent and really easy to use.very happy customer

+ Solid construction, large capacity, easy to program, clear controls, quiet in operation and cleans washing well.

- Instructions in the handbook are poor and hard to follow - not as good as our previous Bosch machine. Can someone describe in simple steps how you turn the warning buzzer off at the end of the wash cycle! The handbook instructions are hard to follow. Much too easy to change the program settings or stop the cycle whilst in operation by brushing against the front panel touch buttons - buttons are far too sensitive. Castors on the front and rear would help moving this heavy machine about.

+ It has a huge drum which is good when you have children who are always gettting dirty.. It is good value for money. I also like the fast cycle which is good if you are in a hurry.
