+ Simple to operate, easy to clean, does a great job of cleaning and drying.

- No lay down plate holders on the bottom shelf so you end up bending the tines when putting pans in. It's a bit noisy.

- These manufacturers never take into consideration the fact that machines are not square and bow out at the front - this made it impossible for me to open a draw at the side of it.

+ Quick wash and large loads are fantastic I'm no longer tied to the washing machine all weekend.

- Child lock does not extend to the on/off button. It took my two year old and 30 seconds to discover this.

+ It's really cut down on cleaning time around my house. As a student cleanliness is really important and so is time spent in the library. I have sparkling clean dishes and better grades!! can't beat it. Also uses less water and electricity than washing by hand! ace!!

- Plate rack system not ideal - there are too many dividers which makes loading difficult and wastes space.

+ Signals for salt and rinse aid clear and effective. Easy to add them and also to add detergent.

- Sometimes a bit noisy. Not constant noise but occasional "clunking" which is annoyingly audible in other rooms.

- There is no way to get any feedback as to where in the program the machine is. This is contrary to older models where the dial progressed with the program. Plastic internal fittings are not well designed.

+ Easy on the eye, not complicated to use. Had a bosch dishwasher prior to this one and it lasted about sixteen years, so l think they are reliable. Am hoping for the same with this one. My main kitchen appliances are all now bosch so l think you can say l am a happy bosch customer.

+ The dishwasher is very quiet during operation. Variable height top rack.

- It was a replacement for a previous Bosch dishwasher with which we had been very satisfied. This new version has proved inferior: there is less width in the upper rack sections. making it more difficult to fit glasses mugs and plates in. Also, the racks on the bottom do not fold down, making it less versatile. The eco cycle is much longer than on the previous model and does not wash quite as clean.

- Takes too long to complete 50c cycle - about 90 mins. Doesn't hold as much as our old Tricity Bendix which was same size.

+ A very good wash at 35 degrees, the speed is truly superb as well.

- The top rack layout is a little wierd, the base of the rack is wrongly angled and thus prevents certain sized items sitting properly. If the angle could be adjusted, either permanently or have a variable setting, I would be happier. Having said this, it lives up to the Bosch name of quality, even though it is competitively priced!
