+ Grilled food cooks very quickly, closed door grilling reduces smell clinging to clothes. Nice bright light in both ovens enables food to be seen easily. Controls easy to use, no need to keep refering to instruction book. The whole cooker is the same size as my old one, but the interior space is bigger which is good.

- Grill pan is large, which is OK if you are grilling a lot of food, but a smaller one would have been adequate as the one provided is quite heavy. There is no handle provided to lift it in and out, so when it's hot it's difficult to pull in and out. Have used the detachable grill handle from my old cooker to place in the slot on the new grill pan, but this is chipping the enamel. More thought could have been given to the design.

Built-in machines have a cabinet door attached to the front of them so that they look like the rest of your kitchen. Freestanding machines can be seen and the machine can be placed in any position in your kitchen.

Conventional ovens heat from the bottom so the top of the oven will be slightly hotter than the bottom. This is useful when you’re cooking lots of different dishes at a time. However, they do take a little longer than fan ovens to heat up. Fan ovens circulate the air so that you get an even temperature throughout the oven. They are quicker to heat up which means they save on energy and time. Multifunction ovens give you the flexibility to use different methods of cooking. They usually have both fan and conventional settings as well as pizza settings that will only cook from the bottom, giving you a crispy pizza, or top-only cooking that is very useful for browning.
Self Cleaning	Catalytic
Self-cleaning ovens can come with catalytic liners or pyrolytic programmes. Calalytic liners are the bumpy surfaces which line the inside walls of the oven. They absorb the food and grease and break it down so that the oven is easier to clean. Pyrolytic programmes run for a couple of hours and burn off all the grime in your oven at temperatures up to 500°C. As it gets so hot, the oven door usually locks so that all you need to do is sweep up the ash that’s left over at the end.
