Haven't yet found out how to stop the beeping at intervals when the cycle has finished.

+ A good number of simple to understand programmes.

- The machine is advertised as 1200 spin. However this setting is only automatic on 60 and 90 degree washes, which are infrequently used. The mixed load spin default setting is 800, which leaves washing requiring longer drying time. You can spin again at 1200 but this is a separate programme which needs re-setting and takes a further 8 minutes.

+ Easy to use, useful cycles which are pre-programmed but can be changed easily to suit the load.

+ I needed a machine that was this size to fit in my narrow kitchen, and this seemed by far the best value for money. I absolutely love it! It's easy to use with plenty of choice when programming wash and dry cycles. It's quiet, and I love all the features- time delay, countdown to finish etc. Childlock is invaluable, and is also great if you don't want it to beep when it's finished. I'd thoroughly recommend it. Dryer much better than expected after reading other reviews.

- If you programme it to both wash and dry a load, garments can become tangled and hence don't dry as well. Drum capacity is not quite as big as I expected. Minor quibbles really!

+ Superb build quality as you would expect with Bosch, this was our first non-hotpoint machine and we have been using it for about three to four months as I write this. Quiet, easy to use, feature-rich and we found the cycle times relatively short (unlike some of the reviews on here). You can turn off the end-of-cycle beeping if you want (it's in the manual - missed by many of the reviews on here) and the wash/dry quality is excellent. No 'powder residue' or poor washes yet. Informative manual and intuitive to use, I doubt I'll buy anything but Bosch again.

- The rear feet stick (dig in) on lino, so you need to make little 'sleds' to ease the machine into any tight spots. No great hardship though, a couple of pieces of cardboard will do it.

+ Solidly built with clear functions which are very adaptable. Timer function is fantastic for using machine over night on cheaper electricity.

- Buttons are fancy, flat, light touch sensors which are a nightmare to use, you have to push them 2 or 3 times for it to register!

+ Extremeley quiet. Controls easy to use. Plenty of options for short washes and low temp washes.

I'm not happy with the Gentle Dry and Intensive Dry.

+ Delay timer is adjustable in hourly increments & is set for when cycle will finish rather than start. LCD display shows how wash cycle is progressing & how long remains. The machine can tell if there is a small load or lightly soiled clothing being washed & reduces cycle time accordingly. Machine is very quiet compared to our old Ariston. Door opens a full 180 degrees.

- Cycle times do seem to be quite long but these can be shortened by washing at a lower temperature etc. Doesn't matter anyway as I use the timer delay so it is done when I get home!

+ The washing machine has many different wash and dry cycles so you can choose to change the spin speed, temperature etc. It has a good strong rubber seal unlike others I have had which were thin and had a gap between them and the inside of the machine so socks got stuck in etc.

- There are no bad points as such but I just wish the towels were spun a bit dryer, but maybe I am expecting too much!!!!

- Not really bad points - but the door closing could be improved - a little awkward. Would be helpful to have 1200 spin on the manufacturers built in 40 degree cycle. As this isn't an option, you have to manually put this in each time you use it. Not a big deal - just a slight niggle.

+ Compared to my last washing machine the noise difference is amazing no more baging of the side of the machine the matter what you are washing.There is a noise of the machine but not very loud. Its very easy to use and Im doing about 2 washes a day.Im happy with my purchase so far ask me again in a years time.

- The only thing I have noticed is some of my clothes would still have some soap powder on them as if it hadnt all washed out but it only happens sometimes.

Only uses the necessary amount of water.
Every cycle gives a whole range of water temperatures.

- Difficult to judge amount of soap required when the water amount varies with each load.
Although there are variable spin cycles, the higher ones are not available on the lower range of washing cycles - not handy if you only need to do cottons on a quicker wash programme.
Minimum water pressure of one bar required, which you may not have. Check your pressure before purchasing - we had to call the plumber out!

It was a little abit more expensive than most Washer/Dryer but it's definately worth every penny. I'll so impressed with this Bosch Washer/Dryer, I've even bought a Bosch Dishwasher.
