Bosch WAE 2416 reviews: Front Loading loading, 6kg capacity washing machine

+ Easy to use, clothes come out very clean and in good condition...

- Difficult to see by the little pin lights where in the cycle the wash is - and addtional water doesn't seem to add much, but the clothes come out nicely

+ Great machine. It does what it says on the tin. It simple to use and the touch buttons look quite fancy. I decided to get a simpler bosch than last time because it broke after 4 years. I dont miss the timer or the digital display and since I didn't use most of the programmes this one is actually better. Ohh and the door opens alot more easily than the more complex bosch I had last time. My last machine had a 1400 spin, this has 1200 - but the clothes come out so dry you would'nt know it.

- Apart from the beeping at the end of the cycle (which is actually very good since you dont leave the clothes in to get smelly when the cycle is finished - but can be annoying because it forces you to get the washing!) None.

+ Lovely and quiet, easy to use, washing comes out brill, this is my second Bosch and I swear by them.

+ The machine itself seems solid and robust. A large door makes loading and unloading easy. Our previous machine had a higher spin speed and was promoted as a low noise model. The drop to 1200rpm has made negligible difference and this machine seems just as quiet whilst being a lot less wobbly. Frankly, like many people, we don't use more than two or three of the programmes available. Those we do use are very effective although the most used cycle takes longer than on our old machine.

+ IT has a very good capacity. I have been able to get quite a bit of washing done in one load.

- One of the features that I had read about before buying the machine was the fact that it beeps at the end of the cycle. OK if you're up, but not so good if you put a load on before bed. have not read the instructions closely yet to see if it can be stopped. Otherwise, a very good product so far.

+ excellent value for money compared with equivalents on the market at the time of purchase. Very easy to use. simplicity. Large drum always useful.very quiet. looks stylish. sturdy and reliable.

- the final spin has a very loud high pitch. finish cycle alarm can be very irritating...doesn't need to go off quite as often. the touch button controls are very easy for a child ( 11mths) to change, even in mid cycle, without being noticed. Would benefit,admittedly rarely, but would like the option of a 'quick wash'

- Only annoying thing is the beep when a wash has finished, keeps going until you press it (would be annoying if your not in the house knowing its doing it or in our case have a baby asleep

+ Very easy to use & so quiet that you forget it's on. On standard programmes, the clothes always come out relatively dry and with very little creasing - bliss when it comes to the next bit...ironing!

- The length of some of the more industrial cycles is a bit excessive, but on the other hand I guess that's how long you need such a cycle to last! (I think that should be in a separate box labelled 'not-so-bad points'

+ i have a young baby and the fact it is so quite is fantastic, also the beep at the end helps to remind a busy mum or dad that it has finished and the washing needs removing. it hold such a large load with a family of 5 i can get so much more done at once.

- unclear to start with regarding spin wasnt sure if it had sone it and dept putting the spin cycle on again afterwards

+ Easy to programme, beebs at you when the cycle has finished, so washings not left to get creased. Looks good and is easy to clean. Wash cyles very efficient

+ This is an excellent machine and I'd really recommend it. It certainly has sufficient features/programmes and is more simple than a lot of over-complicated machines, and it works wonderfully. I'd definitely buy Bosch again.

+ overall easy to work, finish beep does not go on ad infinitum but cuts out automatically, however dog doesn't like it he sits and howls

+ 30 degree cycle. 1200rpm spin. no delay on door opening at the end of the cycle

- default spin speed is 1000 so I have to cycle through the speeds to 1200 every time. The buttons are sort of moulded into the front fascia, rather than being a separate moving part. This makes them a bit fiddly to use.

+ Eventhough it may be the Eastern European model (ie cheap) it is a cracking little machine.
It's got basic controls but does what you want it to do... and compared with our last washing machine its so quiet... Thumbs up on this one.

- When finished it beeps telling you for quite a while. Also it does not tell you how long you have left, or how long the wash takes no time screen. A big down fall! (not bothered about the delay time which is non present in this model)

- overall disapointed as this is not as good a machine as my previous bosch. no short programme at all and it frequently does not spin at the end of a wash and i have to manually put it on to spin. also beeps continually at the end of wash which is extremely annoying and drives our dog mad!

+ The machine is used by my elderly Aunt and the functions are clear without too much unnecesssary technology. It took a couple of goes for her to get used to choosing the right cycle but now she uses it with ease. A very good product.

- Beep to notify the end of the cycle, if you put a load on and go to bed the alarm wakes you up and keeps going for about 30 mins..

+ Excellent value for money, standard wash cycle much quicker (and quieter) than my old machine - brushed chrome finish looks good too. Definitely recommended!

- Good points far outweigh the bad - no half load or quick wash (despite being included in the product description) and the extra features aren't very useful. However, the speed of the standard wash means quick wash isn't essential; a half load option would've been nice though.
