- Bleeps when done and you need to turn the temperature dial back to zero to switch off. Can be a bit irritating, I think you can switch the bleep off but I haven't had time to look at the manual.

- Have had a few problems when using gel capsules and tablets with them not fully disolving and leaving marks on the garments. Seems to be better when the Aqua Plus is used but that does seem to defeat the idea of trying to wash efficiently.

Last washer had to keep replacing plastic paddles three at ten pounds each.Has filter at front of machine don,t know why all washing machines are not like that.Have put 7 out of ten for cycle times,I put clothes in dirty they come out clean. Fully electronic front panel, buttons are touch sensitive so few switches to break as it gets older. cycle times are much quicker than our old Candy. The program dial doesn't rotate according to the wash cycle , instead you get WASH RINSE SPIN END lights to tell you how the washing's doing. 1200 1000 800 & 600 spin speeds.

+ The wash quality is excellent. It has a large-ish capacity drum. It is not particularly noisy. It has a low volume alarm when the wash cycle is finished. The door opens fully through 180 degrees. The controls are very easy to use and you can make changes to the pre-programmed cycles if required.

- It does not use the wash symbols that are found on clothes labels. However, I don't find this to be a problem.

- The manual supplied was written in Greek so I had to download and print an english one from the Bosch website. The manual could be better - more information on cycles etc.

- You are supposed to turn the water supply off between washes. This is impossible if it is plumbed in under a worktop.

- The bloody thing beeps at you incessantly when it has finished washing. It may be 2.00 am but it has no respect. admittedly iy can be programmed out but that is a complicated process. I loathe it more than Windows 95

- Just a liitle more noisy than I expected. The machine bleeps at the end of the cycle until you turn it off. In error I expected the machine to offer a programmable start time but it didn't. This came with the more expensive model.

+ Simple to use with touch sensitive controls, the economy cycle programme is very handy to freshen clothes up. It is very user friendly, it also has an alarm to tell when the cycle is finished. Overall a very good washing mashine.
