+ It does what it says on the tin!

+ Smart looking and fitted into the space in the kitchen well. Easy to use and includes a handwash feature which is very handy

- No timer to delay the start, but knew this when purchasing and chose to go for cheaper of two options without this feature.

+ It is a very good washer

- There is no timer which tells you when the cycle finishes

+ It's easy to use, looks great in the kitchen, doesn't seem to take as long as other washing machines I've had and is fairly quiet - great for open-plan living. I chose it because my sister and my sister's mother-in-law have the same one and love it, and my mum and grandma have always chosen Bosch - it's a family favourite!!

- Buttons are annoying, beeps at end of cycle

+ A very well-made no-frills washing machine. We bought this Bosch model as we had read good reviews and so far it is performing well. Fairly quiet with a decent capacity and although its spin speed is lower than our last machine the clothes come out drier than our last model. Looking forward to lower energy bills too. Another good point is that the door interlock realeases really quickly - ideal when you are in a hurry. Needs only a cold feed as it heats its own water.

- Cycle times are rather slow.

+ Excellent machine. It is considerably quieter than my old machine and it vibrates considerably less too! Cycle times are shorter. It is very simple to use and the build quality is solid. I wanted a simple, well-built more up-to-date washing machine, and this certainly fits the bill.

- Not really a bad point, but it would have been nice to have an inbuilt timer to enable washing to be carried out at night.

+ Easy to use, quiet. It was recommended to me because if anything goes wrong the parts are easy and cheap to replace.

- Door needs a good push to shut it. Water and 'gunk' sometimes collects inside rubber.

+ Quiet, quicker wash time than previous machine, good choice of programmes, very effective spin cycle.

- The 'On' button does not operate as the 'Off' button and takes some getting used to; pressing the 'On' button inadvertently at the end of the cycle starts the programme again. Manual not very comprehensive.

+ Low noise level. Brand name. Height set at 548mm leaving a good clearance to worktops.

- Handbook instructions are not clear and need reading a couple of times to fully understand operating instructions.

+ Big drum, energy effificent, build quality, low noise

- A bit pricey

+ EXTREMELY EASY TO USE. ALTHOUGH ONLY 1200 SPIN, IT COMPARES VERY FAVOURABLY WITH FASTER SPINS.

- NONE AT THE MOMENT ALTHOUGH I HAVEN'T USED ALL THE CYCLES YET.

+ Good spinning, good range of programmes, noise reasonable,

- I found progamme selector dial slightly confusing at first

+ Nice and easy to use and cycle times are short on the commonly used programme

- The noise when it finishes, it goes on for ages
