BlackBerry 8900 Curve QWERTY Keyboard mobile phone handset reviews and tariffs

+ First blackberry I've had and definately will not be the last. The email is perfect, keypad takes some getting used to but works extremely well, web browsing and gps are great, and every other feature that you would expect from a mobile is there!

- The only bad point so far relates to the holdster that comes with the phone. Wheb holdstering the phone it does not enter standbye mode automatically because the case depresses the buttons which prevents standbye. So as long as you manually enter standbye mode then the battery will last days, as opposed one day.

+ good handling, logical menu, fast, nice screen, great keyboard

- the battery lasts only for 2 days with moderate use

+ Its great because I can use it for everything wherever I go.I can keep on top of emails and in touch with Facebook

- I find the keypad very small for my chubby fingers

+ This is my first BalackBerry and I like it very much. The overall Design & the Quality is superb. Camera is better than expected. Keyboard is easy to use along with the trackball. Fantastic screen resolution, probably the best available.

- Battery life is disappointing. Could have add more features to the Phonebook, like "Add Number to Existing Contact" from a received call. Profiles should have been more customizable. Doesn't come with a Full User Guide. Did not come with the latest OS, so I had to upgrade it with a risk, but it works fine with the new OS now. I have to On & Off the phone several times, just to keep the Battery for 2 days, otherwise it will last just under a day.

- Only gripes I have is the battery life is poor and the
navigation ball/mouse is jerky. Camera is only 3 mega pixel

+ It is stylish, easy to use and the internet comes in very handy at times. I enjoy everything about this phone and am so happy I purchased it. Also I do enjoy the blackberry messanger service.

- The only negative thing I can think of is the sycranisation with other devices it is such a pain when you have to follow so many steps each time you want to use bluetooth.

+ Gives me access to my emails 24/7. Love the GPS and map facility.

+ I love the phone it is small and compact and I love having my e-mails on the go. Also has a good camera so taking a picture and sending it as an e-mail to yourself makes easy printing on home computor have not used the video yet.

+ The 8900 Curve is a pick up and go phone. Simple to use, good display for telephone, word, and all other features including some internet pages.

- Adobe flash does not work on the BB and other features like worldwide currency convert, worldwide time zones, information on countries.

+ very easy to use and looks great even tho it is a bit bigger than other mobiles. overall a great phone.

- disappointed that there is no fm radio and cant get my own sounds on sms messages.

+ i is a generally good phone how ever i was told that it comes with sat nav software but when arrives it is only a trial, dispite when i ordered it it clearly states satnav software included!

- web and walk sometimes does not accept the click on the ball as a mouse click

- I don't like the small icons, the touch screen has much bigger icons and is easier to read. I also don't like the case provided. It is too small and all the buttons get pressed when it is put into the case and the design does not cover the whole thing. It is also not very easy to get out of the case quickly

- the battery i have had a replacement phone already and battery still no good.

+ The phone is easy to use and is aesthetically pleasing. I like the music player and the camera is good. Texting is easy and very good. Overall the phone is very good.

- I have had trouble setting up email messaging and GPS which I thought would be very simple considering the main purpose of the phone. The battery life is ok but as I use the phone for browsing and music quite regularly it doesnt last as long as I would perhaps have hoped.

+ Has a lot of features and feels like you have a laptop and a phone all in one. Its a great size and alot easier to use then what I thought it would be.

- Using bluetooth is impossible and downloading music from the computer has been a challenge. The voicemail number doesnt work because of the plus 44, and you have to enter the number in every time you call your voicemail.

- Bluetooth will not work when receiving things at all.
Geets dust inbetween keys and its very hard to get it out.

- Most up to date phones have the option to play music on a radio via a radio transmitter, I feel the only downfall of this phone is it doesn't have that feature

- would be good if you could set a password for certain areas on the phone. eg. messages or photos. rather than the entire device being passworded

+ this is an excellent phone, easy to use and instant messaging between other blackberry users makes comunicatig easier. The web and walk is excellent too. All the features are good couldnt ask for more with this phone, once you've used this you wont go back to a normal phone.

- the only fault I could piont out is the battery life, but then again it is hard to put this phone down for longer then 5 mins!

+ I love my little phone, Its great for my all my needs, diary management, I get my e-mails a lot quicker and Its camera is okay

- Battery life and I have only had it a few weeks and its crashed twice. The blackberry service seems to slow down every few days for a couple of hours and once up and running I get all my e-mails at the one time, its a bit irritating.
