Black & Decker VH780

+ It's very handy tools are great, it's light weight and easy to store.

- I use mine for cleaning projectors, so mostly dust and the filter light says it needs emptying when it really dosen't but appart from that it's great

+ It's small and it plugs in! Much better than rechargeable handheld cleaners that charge for 24 hours and stop working after 30 seconds.

- Far too many tools - very complicated to set up with tools that have to slot into 3 different adapters before they can be fitted to the cleaner.

+ Robust strongly built unit with very strong suction. Very good for stairs, etc or cleaning up small spills when used without the tools.

- Tools are awkward to fit and are push-fit only, so fall off in use due to the strong suction which holds the tool firmly to the carpet, etc being cleaned and results in the tool being pulled free of the main unit.

+ Small size

- Tiresome having to wind cable up, needs a long thin nozzle to get into gaps

+ Pretty light but with good suction power. Easy to get the extension tubes on and off. I'm using it mostly to pick up cat-litter kicked out of the tray, but it picks up a surprising amount of fluff also.

- filter clogs with dust and fluff before the bin is really full; since I'm using it on a 6x4foot bathroom floor I just empty it into the bin after every use.

+ Light to handle with a good selection tools. Excellent suction. Great for use on stairs and the length of the cable makes it ideal for the car.

- Body becomes hot when in use.

+ This is a versatile, VERY powerful, little handheld vacuum cleaner with an impressive array of tools. Past experience with small vacuum cleaners of this sort has been dire, however this one blows (or sucks?) them away!!! Very well built.

- Build quality makes it a little heavy but well worth it!!

+ The Black & Decker VH780 is very powerful - much better than a cordless model.It has a wide range of tools and attachments to suit any cleaning job, you can even extend the hose so you can use it while standing up, instead of having to crouch down. It can also be used to inflate paddling pools etc.Excellent value for money.

- Some of the attachments could have a better quality finish - but it doesn't affect their performance.

- Have to manually coil the cable (automatic rewind would be nice), filters soon clog up - due to being so efficient!

+ cleans effectivly, even pet hair.
