+ Very compact to store on the charger base and therefore handy to use at all times. In my opinion outranks the handheld Dyson that only lasts a very short time before running out of power. The B & D one lasts ages and the suction is as good as if not better than the Dyson..I bought the accessorie kit PV 100K that has a small, floor head and it's very handy for hard to reach places.I read reviews before buying this and a common complaint was when the swivel nozzle was folded to put on the base dust etc dropped out of it.Easily solved by.leaving it running whilst folding the nozzle flat .

- It could do with the addition of a very narrow nozzle and a small soft brush, but possibly any make would fit onto the accessorie tube.Minor niggles I know

+ Very strong and good looking vac, does job very well

- The base will only screw to a right hand wall to allow you easy access to the vac. It would be better if it was either way round. Small point otherwise fantastic

+ I have had many makes of hand held vacuums over the years which were all good to start with but soon deteriorated in performance particularly in suction and how long charge in the battery lasted. So far the Black and Decker PV1805 N 18v has exceeded all expectations.

- Heavier than other types

- The extension to the nozzle is not very firm and keeps slipping back in.

+ Tremendous suction that leaves all surfaces totally dustless
Neat fold-away design that makes it easy to store
Very easy to clean
I love it

- A little too heavy for weaker (older) wrists - however, it is appreciated that that is necessary for the 'bits and pieces' involved in its manufacture.
I wouldn't change it

+ Powerful, does what it's supposed to do.

- Not really bad points, but because it is powerful, there is a trade-off. It's quite big, a bit heavy, a bit noisy, and not the cheapest.

+ The most powerful handheld device on the market. Certainly better (and cheaper) than the Dyson DC16.

- There is no indicator to tell that the machine has been fully-charged i.e. the charging light stays red constantly.

+ really powerful for a cordless handheld. Easy to empty. Wish I had had one years ago.

- Don't like the way the bit you pull out works so I find I don't tend to use it and have to bend more! Its fiddly to pull out and often difficult to push back in or else it goes back in too easily.
