Bissell 9200E ProHeat 2X

+ Just brilliant! I never thought a carpet cleaner at this price could clean as well as one of the 'industrial' ones you can hire, but it's actually better. It's as easy to use as a normal vacuum cleaner, and I like the fact that it keeps the dirty water seperate from the clean water. My friends have borrowed it and all say that they didn't believe me when I said how good it was, but all said afterwards that they agreed! If you've got children or pets then this is a must. You'll wonder how you ever lived without it.

- It is a bit heavy when you carry it up or down stairs, and if you use it regularly you will get through a reasonable amount of cleaning fluid (£7 for 1 litre)

+ Having had a pro heat before, I was pleased to see the improvements that have been made on this model. The side brushes are very effective and the machine is so easy to use.

- Was concerned about the dirty water drips from the machine when l turned it off to refill, however when l went over them they didn't leave a stain.

+ I have only used my Bissell twice so far, once for cleaning the lounge carpet and once for cleaning stair carpet. Both times it did an excellent job.

- A minor irritation was that the hose wasn't long enough to reach the top of the stairs. I had to carry the machine upstairs to do the top three steps and the machine is quite heavy. Overall the good points outweigh the bad.

+ This is the first carpet cleaner that we have purchased. Previously we have hired them. It is excellent. 1. The cleaning solution fits in its own bottle with a no fuss connection on the rear of the machine. 2. The mixture is controlled by a simple 3 position switch. 3. The cleaner not only cleans but also remove heavy soiling and stains very efficiently. 4. Water tank is very simple to use. 5. Easy to clean and maintain. 6. Light and manoverable.

+ Excellent at cleaning up small and large spills (worth its weight in gold if you have small children!!) and leaves a lovely fresh smell once carpets are shampoo'd. Its a very nice design and very easy to seperate the main components for cleaning. The clear plastic design help to identify dirt which helps to keep it in new condition. The hand attachment is perfect for stubbon stains and for getting in the nooks and crannies.

- It is quite large and heavy which makes it difficult for storage (unless you have a free cupboard).

+ It exceeded my expectations of how well it would clean my tied carpets. I was surprised how dry the carpet was after cleaning. It was easy to setup and use.

- The Bissell cleaning products are quite expensive and the machine guzzles it like there is no tomorrow even in normal mode! But saying that the cost of getting someone in to clean the carpets would balance up the the initial outlay for the cleaner and products especially when you use it more than once. And when the family see the results they will want to borrow it!

+ This is a well made and balanced machine.Does everything you ask it to do and more.I almost bought the earlier model glad i didnt held out for the new one very impressed so far with the 9200E. Well done Bex Bissel.

- The only bad point is stripping the parts of for cleaning after use.But if you want your machine to last and be healthy.This is a chore you must perform.

+ It is easy to use. Instuctions booklet clear. We had some very badly soiled light-coloured carpet : it took two applications but we were delighted with the result. In our opinion it acheived all it claimed to do and we are well pleased with our purchace.

+ The carpet cleaner really does work well. I thought i needed to replace the carpet in high traffic areas, i didnt so the cleaner has paid for itself.
