+ Nice simple to use corded telephone. After problems with the battery life on old cordless I decided to go retro, I am glad I did as its stress free.

- No problems arisen yet, took a while to get used to being attached to phone base again after years with cordless but it's fine otherwise.

+ Nice loud speaker phone.

- Needs good light to read the LCD display

+ Easy to use menu; can vary number of rings before answer machine kicks in; can tell instantly if any messages have been left.

- Volume on speaker not adjustable enough.

+ Low price. Easy to install.

- Maybe I was unlucky with the particular purchase because I had problems immediately. I returned the item but decided to 'upgrade ' to a more expensive model. In this instance I suppose "you get what you pay for'".

- Low speaker volume on hands free and message recording (no option to turn it higher); inability to turn phone ringer off and just leave on answerphone.
It's definitely a case of getting what you pay for - it's cheap and does the basic jobs well.
