+ the fact you have a double oven and grill is great when there's only two of us we us the smaller of the ovens and when the family come round it's big enough for eight + It's not only great to use it's also esthetically pleasing to the eye.

- Oven(s) seals terminate with a gap (by design - assumpion) at the top (approx 18cm on top oven and 25cm on lower oven). This causes oven gases/heat to escape onto lower edge of worktop. Eventual damage to worktop.

- A lot of heat escapes through the gap between the oven door and the moulding. When using the top oven it makes it almost too hot to use the timer controls.

+ we needed a black cooker in a certain size a nd this was the only one we could find. Overall its excellent and looks really smart. Also the glass door panels just slide out to clean.

- the only thing i will say is the nob to turn the grill on is the same nob as the oven.

+ useful top oven for things like a pisa or small quick heating.

- the oven temp has to be set at least two settings higher than normal due to the heat that is lost threw the gap in the door seal at the top of the doors.

+ Stylish, both ovens have lights when in use, cooks well, love it!!!

- A lot of heat seems to escape from the vents at the top of both ovens but this does not affect the actual cooking, just gets a bit hot when you are standing in front of it.

+ Simple to turn on and dials are easy to see (unlike some models) so that finding a particular gas mark is straightforward. My previous oven was a basic electric (built in again) - you could never trust the cooking guidelines / times as it always undercooked. The Belling is excellent in this field. If it says 'cook for 20 mins at gas mark 5' that's what you do. Perfect - I'd recommend this oven

- The design of the handles 'doesn't go' with the other handles in the kitchen. (arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!). I've had it for about three / four weeks now and nothing has disappointed me.

+ The design is smart, clean and simple and the features are easy to use (although I haven't tested the timer as yet). The ovens warm up quickly and seems to be very efficient. There are relatively few gas ovens available, particulary double, and they are considerably dearer than the electric alternatives. However, so far, I am of the opinion that this product offers good value given the quality of finish and operation.

- I purchased a Belling Hob together with the oven. Like all stainless steel surfaces, I suspect, they are not especially hard-wearing and I have already managed to scratch the surface. For any potential buyers, my suggestion is only to go near it with a soft cloth for cleaning purposes!

Conventional ovens heat from the bottom so the top of the oven will be slightly hotter than the bottom. This is useful when you’re cooking lots of different dishes at a time. However, they do take a little longer than fan ovens to heat up. Fan ovens circulate the air so that you get an even temperature throughout the oven. They are quicker to heat up which means they save on energy and time. Multifunction ovens give you the flexibility to use different methods of cooking. They usually have both fan and conventional settings as well as pizza settings that will only cook from the bottom, giving you a crispy pizza, or top-only cooking that is very useful for browning.
Self Cleaning	None
Self-cleaning ovens can come with catalytic liners or pyrolytic programmes. Calalytic liners are the bumpy surfaces which line the inside walls of the oven. They absorb the food and grease and break it down so that the oven is easier to clean. Pyrolytic programmes run for a couple of hours and burn off all the grime in your oven at temperatures up to 500°C. As it gets so hot, the oven door usually locks so that all you need to do is sweep up the ash that’s left over at the end.
