Belling CTS211 Freestanding, microwave

+ This microwave is good value for money.

- Grill is not that much effective as i thought. It takes more time to get the work done.

- Stopped beeping, sometimes noisey on start-up. keyboard not responsive. I would have thought a company as well know as Belling wou;ld have made a better model as this one

+ I have purchased 3 of this combi and find them very useful I have one in my caravan for the summer, one as a back-up in the kitchen and one in the Summerhouse down the garden. I rarely use my built in oven.

- I find the "Combine" function does not work so well as the "Dual Cook" function on my Sharp combi. Also with the smaller turntable it is difficult to buy a round tin (ie for a pizza) which does not touch the sides and just to place direct on to the glass turntable stops the pizza base from crisping. When using the convection function oven one has to be very watchful that it does not over cook the top of the dish as it can be more like a grill.

+ Compact and efficient. Used every day as an oven and microwave.

- Combine cooking. Have had no success with this feature. I have another (Sharp) combination microwave with Dual Cook which I use extremely successfully and I have not been able to discover what the problem is with this Belling.which is a shame, assuming "Combine" cooking is the same as "Dual" ?

- Incomprehensible manual - I've no idea when to use the grill rack and if I'm supposed to use it with the fan oven/combi so I've not dared try. And setting the timer is complicated. Pressing the buttons needs really heavy pressure.

+ It performs completely as expected, good instuctions for use and is quite stylish in the kitchen.
