+ Easy to operate. Attractive design

- Small size of grille pan - could be larger. Upper elements do not fully reach the side of the oven space, so when grilling large amounts have to move food around to ensure even grilling.

+ This product has to be hardwired enabling it to perform at a high standard unlike some products that plug into a 240v mains socket. It cooks evenly and accurately within set times and the built in cooling fan is an added bonus. This is our second Belling oven, the first being from a previous house; in the 3 years we lived there it never let us down, this being the reason why we decided to buy another Belling after our Candy oven broke after only 2 years of use. As far as value for money, there is nothing else in my opinion that comes close.

- The manual timer is a little bit useless and dosent automatically switch the oven off when cooking is complete, but you can get the same oven with a digital clock which cost a little bit more.

- Difficult to understand where the knobs should be turned to for cooking, too many options, ie fan, grill, light. Also takes a while for the cooker to switch off once cooking is terminated

Conventional ovens heat from the bottom so the top of the oven will be slightly hotter than the bottom. This is useful when you’re cooking lots of different dishes at a time. However, they do take a little longer than fan ovens to heat up. Fan ovens circulate the air so that you get an even temperature throughout the oven. They are quicker to heat up which means they save on energy and time. Multifunction ovens give you the flexibility to use different methods of cooking. They usually have both fan and conventional settings as well as pizza settings that will only cook from the bottom, giving you a crispy pizza, or top-only cooking that is very useful for browning.
Self Cleaning	Catalytic
Self-cleaning ovens can come with catalytic liners or pyrolytic programmes. Calalytic liners are the bumpy surfaces which line the inside walls of the oven. They absorb the food and grease and break it down so that the oven is easier to clean. Pyrolytic programmes run for a couple of hours and burn off all the grime in your oven at temperatures up to 500°C. As it gets so hot, the oven door usually locks so that all you need to do is sweep up the ash that’s left over at the end.
