Beko WM5120 reviews: Front Loading loading, 5kg capacity washing machine

- The normal cycle actually takes approx 2 1/2 hours if i knew this when purchasing then i woul dnot have bought this machine

Quiet spin

- Would be nice to know the length of the wash cycles.

+ Very quiet, easy to use, looks smart.

- Cycle times are fairly long, even with the quick wash button.

+ Excellent price, plenty of cycles to choose from and a has a quick wash to reduce cycle time. The machine has different spin speeds and even when its not on the highest the clothes hardly need much drying time in the tumble dryer.

- If you dont use quick wash the cycle times are quite long. The higher the spin the noiser it is but its only for a short time.

+ Washes well, does what it says on the tin....a good buy when money is tight and you need a washer!

- Noisy, cycle times are too long, main 'knob' came off within 24 hours but was easily pushed back on and now seems to like it there....so far so good.

- can't change spin speed or temperature manually. On my old machine I could have a longer wash at 30 and a longer spin on a short cycle.

+ Good price and easy to use. Not as quiet as our previous machine when new, but it can in no way be described as noisy.

- The installation instructions do not clearly state there is a polystyrene block underneath the machine that needs to be removed.

+ What I like about the machine is how quiet it is and the 30 degrees, quick wash.

+ I wanted a reliable in-expensive washing machine with a 1200 spin. I had heard Beko was a good make and it has proved me right. It had all the deciding factors I was looking for. I would definitely recommend this machine.

+ Good value for money, does the washing well and is easy to use. Quick wash function does a grand job too, takes around 1h, so if clothes just need a freshen up and are not grubby, then this works well.

- Average 40 degree cycle does take around 2h20m.

- Spin cycle doesn't seem to do much! Did a hand wash and spun the item 3 times with it still coming out soaking wet and taking 4 days to dry.

+ all the programme instruction guides are on machine facing which makes it so much easier to follow and means you don't need to keep referring to handbook.

- not really what i'd call a bad point, cycle times are different to old machine so that will take time to get used to. eg i could be getting on with some housework and know when wash had finished but with new machine some washes are quicker, some slower. i like to get washing out of machine as soon as it finishes!

+ The price is particularly good, but it also seems to wash extremely well.
I was very disappointed however with the cycle times. The length of these will probably mean that I will invariably use the quick wash, which compared with my previous machine is actually not that quick.

+ The Short cycle is a very good option as some of the cycle times are over an hour. This option cuts down on the actual wash time when items only need a swill instead of a good, long wash.

- Not necessarily a bad point, but the cycle times are a lot longer than my previous machine, although the short cycle is very useful, as above.

+ As well as going for a cheaper washing machine we wanted one that looked good and this one does we were suprised at the lovely staff that fitted it for us and efficent delivery. we had no machine for over a week and used it for several loads straight away. it was up to the job and is much quieter than our old one! was easy to use and has lots of features very happy as had not heard of Beko before but asked around and heard no complaints.

- Won't spin very small loads, one jumper eg. Think the automatic load balancing thing is a bit over sensitive, both that I've had have been the same. Wish it had a 30 degree wash option on the shorter washes, long washes are very LONG!!

+ Stylish and sturdy machine. All the necessary settings are available on the machine and it's not noisy either.

- The only bad point was that some of the cycles take a long time to complete. However, as I use the quick wash for most things this is problem is a minor for me.
