+ Enables Archos Portable Media Players to be used as digital video recorder. Also charges device faster and provides a USB host port for memory sticks etc

- Connections can be confusing. Infra red emitter has to face target device to work - should supply a wired emitter.

+ Its easy to use, great screen, you can copy and paste anything from anywhere from any computer.

- the dvr station is not straight forward and i still haven't got to use all the feature without any porblem of colours, cable connections, and archos settings.

+ Ijust love it!

- Should be open software and have gps inbuilt

+ Allows direct recording of TV, DVD, Videos, Console Gaming, you name it, if its displayed through your TV you can take a portable copy with you wherever you go. Surfing on a teeny screen can be difficult, not so on your tele!

- It's a shame you have to buy an accessory to get these functions rather than the Archos itself being all encompassing, however if it keeps the base price down and allows you to pick and choose your features thats not necessarily a bad thing!

+ Small, compact, easy to connect, every possible connection cable supplied.

- Difficult to position so that the IR transmitter will control your digital box (without the use of mirrors!)

Connects straight away to my wifi network.
So easy to record TV.

- No Outlook. That would make it complete.

+ i found that the archos gen 5 i ideal for my useage and i would recommend it to my frienmd which i have done to a few of them so far, it's light and easy on the weight for carrying around from house to house.
