+ memory size is excellent, screen size (fine for two people to watch), quality is good
easy to record and playback recording using docking station and/or mini-dock (once you get the hang of it)
excellent portability - used it on recent holiday excellent on plane and using playback with the mini-dock through the hotel room TV - much better than the local TV that was on offer!

- Touch screen not always responsive (compared with IPhone) - found it MUCH easier to use with touch screen "pen" (that came with IPhone).
TV guide a bit complicated but probably user error, so i perhaps need to get to grips with that a bit more.

+ Great screen, huge capacity, fast web and video, very good compatibility, USB Host using mini dock

- Have to buy plug ins

+ Great viewing and audio quality.

- Quite heavy. Has the tendency to stall during use, this means you have to keep restarting.the unit.

+ Very large screen which is great for playing movies and films
The email and internet systems is a good system
It is easy to use and set up
The Archos store is a good functionality for buying films and music
The stand is very useful for watching films, you can stand it up, lay back and enjoy a film on a 7 inch screen
The extras are useful such as the mini dock, for plugging it into a TV and watching it on there
The widgets and PDF software do come in handy from time to time
Removable Battery- good for trips

- It is heavy to carry around
It is unable to read word documents unlike the Ipod Touch
It has to be near WiFi, (it would be better if it had 3g wifi)
The addons are optional and have a cost
No flash apps (a major drawback compared to the iPod touch)

+ Well engineered and does everything it boasts in the advertising. Very pleased with it.

- One of the main reasons I purchased this was to have a portable library for all my music and DVD's. After investigation it appears to be illegal to copy my DVD's to the archos because they are all protected and to bypass the protection would be a breach of copyright even though I own them and it would be for my personal use only. The range of legal movie downloads for owning also appears to be very limited.
This did not appear in any of the advertising materials which I think made some of the claims misleading.

- You need to purchase the plugins speratley to get all the movie types to play.
Bit heavy.

+ All my music, films, photos and internet in one small handheld even displays pdf files. Display quality is superb

- Slow to transfer onto the Archos. Price of extras i.e. Case, docking station. You also have to purchase the license to watch HD and Video files which should be included in the pack.

+ Compact unit with a very nice screen. Feels solidly built. Easy to setup. Despite others comments mine logged onto the internet and did everything else on first attempt - mostly automatically and where it wasn't automatic it wasn't too difficult to work out what to do. I'm no technophobe!

- Not overly intuitive but becomes more user friendly the more you use it. Explanation on sync for films and DVD's could do with expanding. Also found that using a stylus was better so took one from a defunct PDA. Shame Archso don't supply one with the unit.
