- Expensive considering no audio cables are included, and the power supply is a bit cheap.

- I-Pod feels fragile when docked. Requirement to take the Arcam Solo back to the dealer for a software upgrade (my Solo being an early model).

+ Excellent sound quality, coupled with the ability to use my Arcam Solo remote control to control the iPod. The use of the remote is the reason I bought the R Dock in the first place. However, see the bad points......
(NB. The 5/10 scores above are due to there being no Not Applicable option to choose!)

- Maybe it is my Arcam Solo (it's two years old, so perhaps newer models are different), but the control of the iPod via the remote is terrible. It's one of the worst user interfaces I've seen for a while. Once you've got used to it, it's bearable, but not fun. Not really an issue for the R Dock itself though.

- Lacks a managed charging facility - ie would be good if charger switched off automatically when iPod fully charged. Not sure if I can hear much difference between headphone output via amp and R dock via amp. Fairly expensive.

+ I was amazed at the leap in quality from using a line out from the headphone socket

+ Stylish and heavy enough not to move on it's own. I wanted to have something that would look OK next to my main stereo that would take my iPod and not fall over when the kids ran into the table. It's works well.

- bit miffed that it only works with the Solo remote. I have an A80 and it doesn't work.

Does what it says on the packet.Certainly better quality sound than other stations/leads.

- Could fit more securely on to docking bed.
(It will never sound as good as vinyl!)
