APPLE I-MAC 24 PC Reviews: Computer

+ Looks beautiful, screen is enormous and colour quality absolutely beautiful, operates fast, completely silent, no known viruses a threat, very few cables (just the power lead), extremely compact, built in camera and microphone (mic and camera very good quality). An excellent piece of equipment.

- hate the imac mouse. Coming from a PC you really miss the right click, but that's it!!!

+ Superb design and looks, virtually no foot print. Best screen i have ever seen, makes our 2 Vista based laptops and desktop PC,s look like satchels of Yak dung! (Really its that good!) Being a bit of an old bloke that still believes he’s so hip he cant see above his pelvis, i was swiftly brought into line by having to adapt to a new operating system, as this is my first Apple computer. Spent the best part of a month staring at the screen blankly, being totally lost without the "Start Bar" before i finally cracked and spent 10 mins reading the built in help, (We don’t do the “destructions” its a bloke thing)
And poke me sideways with a large mucky stick if its not all starting to make very pure and perfect sense. Would I recommend going over to the “light side” …… Churchill’s Mutt has my answer?

- Takes a little time for anybody with average computer skills and over 40 to get to grips with Apple's OS but once acquainted you will curse every moment you spend using a Windows based PC, Just look out for a disgruntled and raving PC abuser near you, and i will show you a closet apple lover, Oh ......... And Since losing my "super cool" position within the family i have been forced to remove my underwear from the fridge! Crushed!! but learning to live with the pain.
