Apple iPod Touch 16GB

+ Internet access, 24hr battery life, coverflow.

- Unreliable, slow, prone to freezing, takes an age to do turn on, can't be operated with 1 hand, requires a lot of effort to do simple things like change volume, had features removed that were present in the iPhone and only removed from this for product differentiation (like the email, calender, Google maps etc), the keyboard is to small and fiddly to be useful, the mirrored back that scratches easily unlike the matte aluminium back of an iphone or the 2G nano,fingerprint magnet, bundled headphones are still useless, the 16GB version is overpriced. All in all a disappointment, I returned mine due to it being faulty and I wont be buying another.

- I use it at the gym a lot and it is hard to navigate through the songs when your fingers are sweaty!!! Also the battery lie is quite short.

+ fantastic, keeps my husband amused on the train! Good stress relief. Great sound and picture absorbs you into another world. husband was sceptical at first that it would make his train and underground journey that much better, but now he won't leave home without it.

- screen gets dirty because you are always using your fingers to manoeuvre the screens.

It can also be difficult using your finger to get the right volume or to move onto the next song as is a bit temperamental if you havent got your hand in exactly the right place whereas on teh other ipods with the wheel you can just click or turn the wheel without having to look at what you are doing..

+ A great piece of kit. Very slim, very fashionable, very hi-tech. This is the epitome of cutting edge, you impress yourself and others with the kool operation of this item.

- The thing seems very delicate and i wouldnt like to drop this thing. The only limitation i find is that there is not enough memory. I know people will say that 16GB is more than enough, but if ur a movie buff like me and like to upload clips, movies and videos, then this item is very easy to fill up.

- Need some sort of 'stick' to use instead of your finger. For instance, it's difficult to scroll down the alphabetical list in the contacts section as the letters are far too small.

+ A very under rated bit of kit in the shadow of the iphone. Everything you ever wanted to do with a hand held computer (presuming a Wifi connection) without paying over the odds and being tied to an 18 month contract - oh and it is a very capable ipod too!

- I don't have a home computer! Too much faffing about to try and get music on it. I thought it'd be like buying a mobile phone..didn't realise that I'd have to download some sort of package before I could start putting music on it. Also I thought it had a radio in it...turns out you have to download that too. Still only managed to download 10 songs...takes ages. I thought I could put all my CD's on to it...will have to wait until I get a home pc to try to figure out how to do that...ahhh technology wonderful isn't it!!

+ the wireless feature is great to use as a laptop. while u have wireless working use itunes and download music direct. easy to add music and get a fm sender and it hooks up to any stereo so no need for cd's.

+ This was a present for my 13 year old son, who downloads music, revision help for homework in Spanish and French, can access the internet really quickly, send messages via it. He absolutely loves it and I must admit it looks very easy to use, compact and lightweight, so am now considering buying one myself.
