+ I know AMD is hitting harsh times at the moment and is getting a bit of a roasting by Intel, but this chip is simply brilliant! this is one of the high end AM2 Duel core Chips out their, rivaled by the 6400 and both the 6000 and 6400 black editions. I must admit i am an "AMD Fan" but you cant really fault this chip, being quite powerful and cheap at the same time! I'm using it with an MSI board (MSI MS-7280) which has an AMD chip set and Crossfire capabilities and it works flawlessly. I'm duel booting Vista Ultimate and XP Home and overclocked the chip on stock to 3.3Ghz per core (Above 6400 Speeds). This Chip is a must have AM2 upgrade, i use one at work and only being 18 i cant really afford anything better!
- Uses old 90nm die technology is hotter and less efficient that what Intel has to offer with its 65nm architecture and indeed the new Phenom Quad Cores, soon to be totally blown out of the water by Intel's new 45nm Architecture. Quite demanding on power so make sure you have and nice PSU to go with it. Stock cooler as with most retail pack CPU's is not great, but they never are. Don't by a rubbish motherboard! this will just simply bottleneck the chi and cause all sorts of issues with hanging etc.

+ Great Processor, Just make sure you get the 2Mb Cache version. Its the best Dual core AMD has for multimedia / games. Comes with "better" heat sink too.
- None, just a shame they are getting so rare. AMD now pushing 1Mb cache versions cos the original 2Mb version is almost equal to its FX range!!
