+ Very effective in hot humid weather, good value for money and fairly cheap to run due to it being energy efficient (Grade A). On averge it took only about 30 minutes for it to reduce the temperature in my room by as much as 4 degrees.

- When it is air conditioning; the fan can be fairly loud, not too loud; although you couldn't sleep with it on.

+ Slimline, fairly quiet, good price

- Thought it would 'turn off' with the thermostat function once it had reached it's temperature, but simply reverts to the fan without the 'cooling'. Not great for energy consumption.

- Hose was a bit short so a fair bit of wasted energy in cooling the hot air coming in from the open window. A tad longer and I could have closed the curtains to stop the warm (night air) coming in.
