Stu, Manchester, “Like my gadgets!”
+ Compact yet seemed to swallow all my audio and visual stuff up no worries! Managed to get a Yamaha amp, a DVD player, NTL box, modem and router, a PS3 and a Wii inside!
- Because Ive shoved so much stuff in, it does get warm inside! Think about ventilation and even enlarge some of the holes in the back of the unit if you have to!

Gregory, Woodford, London
+ looks good and is tidy
- not a strong unit, I lent on and it broke. it not a very strong structure and for this reason I wouldn't recommend it. Its hard for me to explain but the quality of the wood is very good and not strong as its MDF. When I looked at the screws in the wood its seem that they didn't give another room for the screws to be fitted to the wood( wood/MDF is thin at points). This seems like the product should be reviewed by maker to amend a poor design, but it does look good with poor quality wood and the wrong point to add screws as it makes wood/MDF brittle

+ Really great quality parts, fits together very well, its strong and weighty. Overall it looks stylish and well made.
- Needs an optional second shelf in the bottom half to raise any peripheral device so that the remote can function propoerly. (Shelf too low for height of door glass.) This can easily be resolved once purchased, but was an oversight in my opinion.

+ Well... I managed to put it together without the aid of a man... so its easy to put together :)
- We had to buy a better telly coz ours looked out dated on it :)

+ Considering the price this really can't be beaten. Providing you take a bit of time, I think the instructions have been a little improved since some of the previous comments, it's straightforward enough - I didn't even need a hammer ;-). The quality and feel of the parts used is very high, leading to a quality looking product - much more than the price might indicate. I now like the black "sparkle" finish as it sort of hides the dust, without being obvious.
- Minor discrepancy with the sales blurb when I bought it - the instructions say 80Kg for top weight, rather than 100Kg. I'm happy with the 50Kg or so I've put on and in it, expensive kit at that, but it could do with a bit more bracing left-to-right - i.e. I wouldn't want to push on it from the sides... The finish doesn't take hard knocks, like the the point of a screw driver (my fault), but can be patched up with a black marker pen.

+ very stylish tv stand.would compliment most lounges. an excellent product and much better than those dreary glass and metal ones.
- the only change i would like to see is another glass shelf to raise equipment up slightly from the bottom.

+ Excellent quality product, sturdy as a good tv cabinet should be with attention to detail on the glass front and the joints. Good instruction to assist with assembly.

+ It fits and it looks nice. It keeps the dust off the boxes. the glass door permits the hand controls to be used without opening the door
- I have not found a way to fold the various cables insie the stand withoout them showing so ther is still an untidy bundle behind.

- Two man lift on flatpack _quite heavy

+ Looks good
- Need to leave front open, gets very hot! dust magnet, poor cable management.

Matt, Thatcham
+ it looks absolutly fantastic, the wood is of high quality which shoes in the final product. Assembly is quick and easily done with a good set of instructions.
- cable management system is rubbish. The holes are not at the correct hieght to be able to thread cables through. The holes would be better if they were turned through 90 degrees so that height would not be an issue.

Rchard, Guisborough
+ very good quality panels, strong not flimsy like other cabinets. found the door opener quiet stiff which is good for us as my little girl can not open it. good casters on base.
- not really a bad point but it is very heavy when constructed.

Marissa, London, “30's, new mum, particular”
+ Looks sleek. Child friendly as has no door handles. Really easy to put together. Perfect size for an alcove. The wheels mean it's easy to move tv to clean behind.
- Was missing 3 screws at the end of assembly!

+ you can`t hear the noise of fans from audio visual products inside it with the door closed. unit looks quite smart.
- the sky+ remote has problems sending signals through the glass door sometimes. The assembly screws can break when screwing in to place during assembly of the door hinges. There was an obvious manufacturing defect mark on the top of the unit, though this is hidden from view by the lcd tv stand base. cable access is very poor when connecting audio visual components the stand should be about 10cm wider to allow two standard size audio visual components side by side in it.

+ I like the wood finish as it blends in nicely with the rest of my decor. Good to see something that's not all glass and chrome. Also it keeps the dust out so less cleaning (always a plus).
- Definitely a two 'man' job to assemble.

Euan, Tayport
+ Well built, nice looking unit. I have a 40" lcd on mine, and it doesn't look odd. Lots of space inside.
- Cable access at the back is good but not great, but it depends on which way your cables approach your appliances.

+ Looks great! Door set up is perfect. Solid stuff.
- Holes for cables are way too small! Need to be considerably bigger to make set of A/V kit easier and less messy. Shelf space is too tight - just a few more cms would've been spot on. Shame...

Sarah, Northampton
+ Very easy to assemble with clear instructions. The castors make it very easy to move and get to the cables from the back. The slow opening mechanism on the door is good as I have small children, this also stop them touching the equipment inside
- The only bad point I picked up on was the fact that the recess by the glazed door was not veneered to match, it has been left plain (MDF)

- Takes 90 minutes for 2 people to set up - so quite a tough job!

+ Solid unit. Good quality feel. Nice controlled sliding mechanism on door. Very easy to set up.
- Bit of a dust magnet. As with all enclosed cabinets, this can retain heat from the units inside so sometimes I need to leave door open whilst I am using my home cinema.

+ Excellent quality, looks classy - you'd never guess it was self-assembly by looking at it, there's nothing cheap or nasty about it.
- Wider choice of veneers/finishes would be nice, otherwise no bad points.

+ Great style, excellent finish, easy to move on its concealed castors, recess in back helps to hide cable and multi socket. A product that was almost perfect for my needs. I would have preferred it to be wide enough to fit standard size hi-fi equipment side by side. The slightly wider model is just too wide for the space I have, due to central space for CDs.
- tricky to fit cables into amplifier etc from rear, (big hands) I have a heath robinson arrangement to hang multi socket in recess.

Sharon, Oldbury
+ Stylish and beautiful piece of furniture once it's assembled.
- Quite tricky to assemble.
22 May 2008
Moira, Cupar, “I am female 65+.”
+ Excellent design quality, practical materials provide a very efficient television stand which though strong is easily moved for cleaning anfd positioning. Drop down front keeps everything tidy and safe from little fingers. Is well packaged all contents labelled and secure. Easy to follow instructions.

Greg, Worcester
+ Has enough room for a large amp, lovely soft closing/opening glass door. Open at the back for easy cable management. Soft feet make it easy to move.
- Not quite enough room for 3 units, sky box is cramed in tightly at the top on top of the DVD player
19 May 2008

+ This unit knocked all it's competitors well and truly into touch, for price, appearance and value for money. If my wife (who is the most fussy shopper on the planet )purchased it it must be good!

+ It is small enough to fit the alcove in our Edwardian house. Almost all similar products on the market are too wide. We like its sleek lines and being able to operate the remotes without opening the door.
- Took a little while to arrange the cables, but not too hard.
30 Mar 2008
Glenys, Poynton
+ It looks stylish and is fit for purpose
- I couldn't have put it together myself - but it shouldn't be beyond the ability of any capable do-it-yourself man.

+ Like the modern styling and the door hydraulics. Our granddaughter can't get inside to play with our sky card as before. We previously had an Alphason glass stand.
- Construction took a bit of thinking about. I would have liked the Light Oak veneer to have been a bit more yellowy to match our other furniture but generally very happy with the product.

+ A great way of hiding unsightly dvd/vcr/xbox and their cables when one lives in a older looking property. Remote controls work through glass front without any problems.
- A little fiddly in places to assemble, but instructions are relatively simple to follow. Took just over an hour to put together on my own.

+ Looks good and is very solid. We have a 37" Plasma sitting on ours despite the recommendation of only up to 32" and it is just fine.
- Spare an hour or so to put it together as the whole thing comes as a flat pack with a pictorial assembly sheet. What fun!
