We needed a child-proof TV cabinet as we have a toddler. This is excellent as everything fits behind the glass fronted door. The door itself it too heavy for our 1 year old to open (though she may suss it out eventually!). V pleased with the style of the cabinet too, plus its not too big/wide
-
Assembly took quite a long time, but wasn't really that bad. Its quite low compared to our previous TV stand

Considering the price this really can't be beaten. Providing you take a bit of time, I think the instructions have been a little improved since some of the previous comments, it's straightforward enough - I didn't even need a hammer ;-). The quality and feel of the parts used is very high, leading to a quality looking product - much more than the price might indicate. I now like the black "sparkle" finish as it sort of hides the dust, without being obvious.
-
Minor discrepancy with the sales blurb when I bought it - the instructions say 80Kg for top weight, rather than 100Kg. I'm happy with the 50Kg or so I've put on and in it, expensive kit at that, but it could do with a bit more bracing left-to-right - i.e. I wouldn't want to push on it from the sides...
The finish doesn't take hard knocks, like the the point of a screw driver (my fault), but can be patched up with a black marker pen.

Closed structure already 70% toddler-proofed, minimalist design
-
Structurally the design is poor. I do not believe that it can withstand the load bearing the manufacturer claims. Full weight of the TV is not transferred directly to the floor, so two screws in the MDF bear the full weight on each side. These sheared through the MDF on the first stand we received. The second has held together, but the top of the stand is clearly sagging over time, and I fear will once again shear, tipping my expensive TV forward on to the floor, or, god forbid, onto my daughter.

Now its up and in use I'm more than satisfied. My initial reaction after assembly (which was without difficulty)
was questionable. It accomodates all my 'bits' and now offers a good clinical appearance.
Perhaps, on reflection one of the 'wood' finishes may have been more appropriate is amatter of taste.
Mine is 'black'. My wife has now grown accustomed to it!!! All,in,;all most satisfied.

Basically its a very child/price friendly TV unit without losing anything in looks, style or solid build.
It has a very smooth drop down front panel that you can set to your own drop down speed.
The front glass panel is very thick and really well set into the frame, hasnt posed any problems with the kids footballs/feet as of yet, a large thick glass shelf inside currently housing an xbox and games/pads - the lot with plenty of room to spare, all wires run through the back of the unit with ease. Price when bought with the LCD was great.
Easy to assemble. Perfect width for a 32" LCD.

Quality fittings and thick strong panels with good piano black finish. Accurate build assembly. Damped counter-balanced drop-down door with toughened glass panel. Large holes at back for cables. One interior toughened glass shelf. Can be moved on fitted low-profile rollers.
-
The box-like design may not be a popular choice for some people.
As with most self-assembly products there is the problem with the depth alignment of the twist and lock case assembly fittings because the pre-drilled holes are slightly deeper than the fittings. OK once you understand how they work and you have something like a small screwdriver or knitting needle to get correct depth and angular alignment. If you accidentally push top face of fitting too far below surface of panel it can be difficult to get out again.
