- Battery life is abysmal, any more than twenty minutes and it fades away, it needs to be permanently plugged in to mains supply. Which in my mind means that it is not really a lap top, as soon as you leave home the battery is flat...NOT recommended.

+ Easy for my daughter to use, this being her first laptop, I didn't want to spend too much on it if it was going to hard to use etc. My daughter has found every aspect of the laptop good, especially the webcam and microphone!

- Not too keen on the single "rocking bar" mose button design. Can only hold a single bank of RAM so cannot add spare banks, have to replace installed RAM if upgrading

+ nice looking case does all the things i need for the price you need to upgrade the ram from one to two. But all in all for a starter laptop or occasional user like me it does the job

- battery life not great! and i have had problems with the wireless side of it keps looseing signal and you cant get back on until you close it down.

+ Does what you would expect for the price resonably well. Very nice feel to the keyboard but thats down to personal preference of course.
Very light compared to my main laptop and much more portable.

- Web cam could be better and the sound is a little bit quiet and one dead pixel but thats being picky really for the price.

+ I purchased this laptop for my Mother who is 80 Years old and,this is the first computer she has ever
had or indeed used.
Apart from the basic principles in learning how to use a computer,this laptop is very used frinedly.

- The only negative point I could find is that sometimes the lock system for opening the machine is
a little tricky.

+ Great VFM and compares well with other recon'd laptops from web based vendors.
Screen is nice and bright.
Vista is fine, very friendly for novice users.
Webcam is fun and easy to use.

- Physical strength of laptop is a little worrying, I would characterize it as "flimsy."

+ clear screen, easy to view, big keyboard as I have arthritis so good for stiff fingers.

- sometimes as you pass your hand over the touch pad but without actually touching it , it sees this as a command and moves the page or can come up with something completely different which i smost annoying.
The CD carrier also opens at random...............................................

+ I've not used the laptop much yet, but so far everything seems good. It's a good size and a good weight, the screen is good and the performance is fast. I use it as part of a home WIFI network and it works perfectly... and did straight from the box. When I first used it, the initial set up was easy, and the laptop wasn't filled with much software which is what i'd prefer (trials, OEM stuff etc.).

- The only thing I could suggest is the mouse pad is rather over sensitive when typing. One minute typing you sentenence and the next minute its jumped to something else!!

+ I am a novice - give me a manual typewriter and I could answer you, but keyboard is lspaced like a typewriter keyboard

- The only bad point is that as a typist hor wrists are n the middle of your machine, but with a laptop you have to put them on the side

+ Excellent value for money. Ideal as first purchase for students. Suits their needs of portability and Large storage for music/photos. Extremely pleased with the two I have purchased, I have already recommended to friends.

- The battery goes down fast, but may be due usage ie listening to music, watching downloaded tv etc. . Tend to keep it connected to mains most of time. As used in the home 90% of time this hasn't been a problem. Good points far outway the bad points in our opinion.

- the programs are preinstalled and i didnt get a copy of the discs if i ever need to reinstall them.

+ Looked brand new except for power lead etc no scratches good value ok for surfing and word processing

- Bit slow but to be expected with low ram and celeron processor

+ compared to my old laptop this is brilliant lovely keyboard widescreen great for watching dvds and really quick integrated webcam great it really is good value for money

- it didnt fit into to my old laptop bag so had to get a new one
