+ Tiny Tiny Tiny. Really Light. Easy for putting in bags. Comes with XP and MS Works so ready to use out the box. Easy to upgrade the RAM.

+ Perfect for our duaghter who is at school, using a usb memory stick is excellent, the fact that a netbook has windows is even better than expected. Excellent value for money, as many uses that the pc and laptop we have already, would recommend this advent netbook to anyone !!!!

+ Apart from not having a CD/ DVD drive (go and get a full size laptop!) the 10" screen is very readable making this a true mini and portable PC. Bluetooth useful, WiFi rock solid and WinXP makes using this PC a dream, robust too - I couldn't recommend it more ( and I use at least 4 differents PCs and laptops every day)!

- Slightly larger than most (but more robust) and its not as elegant as perhaps an Acer One!

- The size means the keyboard is fiddly and there is no DVD drive - but that is the price you pay for the compact design!

+ I find the size ideal for my purposes, I can carry it around in my bag and work on it when i like. The price was excellent. I haven't had it long enough to judge battery or general performance levels over time.

+ its got a good amount of memory so you can keep videos and games on, and its compact enough so you can take it travelling. It comes with windows xp which means its easy to use and having the webcam is a plus!

- The battery life is poor only lasting a max of 2hrs at a time.

+ This product was bought purely for internet us for children in the house, It is light, portable, has fantastic features such as webcam, sd reader, lots of usb ports. Have no complaints yet!!!

+ The Advent 4489 (a rebadged MSI Wind U90) is an excellent netbook for the price. I also have a 4211C (= U100). The 4489 has a slightly smaller screen and HDD, no Bluetooth and less on-board memory. The latter is no problem, as installing a 2GB SO-DIMM of DDR2 PC6400 RAM is cheap and easy. You must then disable the on-board RAM in the BIOS setup. With 2GB of RAM, XP flies along without a swap file. Windows XP Home can be re-installed from a hidden partition, but I prefer to clone the entire HDD to an external USB HDD as a backup, which then includes all data and applications. I also bought an external USB CD/DVD drive but don't need to carry this around to play CDs or DVDs, as iso files stored on the HDD (or a USB stick or SDHC card) can be mounted as virtual disks. For this, I use freeware utilities (ImgBurn & MagicDisk). See the msiwind.net forums for many useful tips, including BIOS upgrades and overclocking, which can squeeze an extra 20% out of the Intel Atom processor. Overall, a great little machine.

+ Good screen, very convenient and flexible for travel. WiFi works well, and USBs give access to virtually all peripherals.

- Battery life is adequate, but if you purchase a longer life battery you can have up to 6 hours available.

- the battery life isnt great, struggle's to reach 2 hours on a full charge but other then that it's great..

+ Cheap and light. Not likely to become my main laptop, let alone my main machine, but very handy to have around.

- Performance isn't outstanding in any respect, but that's the expected trade-off against the good points.

+ It is perfect for my daughter to use to play games on the internet. It was the only one I could find for the money that used windows, which is far superior to the other running systems. It has games, webcam and microphone on it and is great value for money.
