- sometimes it won't start up. keeps flicking off either with or without battery. When this happens I just flick the switch again and it fires up. Don't know what causes this but it only causes a few seconds delay

+ Apparently I bought a reconditioned unit, although I couldn't tell. Not a mark on it. The screen is great, the speakers are about average. The keyboard is comfortable and the trackpad is responsive. XP works really well, Windows7 works just as well, if not quicker. The ram and hard drive can be upgraded fairly easily and the wireless card could be changed if desired. You can also flash this with the MSI Wind U100 bios as it is an MSI with a different coloured shell. I have popped in another 1GB and changed the hdd for a 320GB. I've also flashed to the MSI 1.0B bios and run the Atom cpu at nearly 2Ghz when plugged in, no problem.

- I wish the trackpad's side scroll was like other trackpads where you glide your finger. With this trackpad, you tap the top right corner to scroll up or the bottom right corner to scroll down. You can also hold your finger in either corner to keep scrolling but it's not nearly as intuitive.

+ Very light and portable. Good sized keyboard. Great for travelling with.

- Lack of instructions - took me four hours and lots of research on geek usergroups to work out how to turn on wireless - which is very simple when you know how. ditto with bluetooth.
Also wasted half a day trying to work out how to turn on the integral mic - only to find out there isn't one, despite the small hole top right with the word "mic" clearly written below it.

+ It's small, light and stylish. It's very easy to use and any queries are soon answered by referring to the onboard user manual. It boots up rapidly and runs like a dream the wireless connected easily with my home set-up, I love it.

- Not so much a bad point, more of a standard moan, the battery life is quite short. It seems to last about 1.5 hours, but then this comment is made about all the netbooks I have seen reviewed. I intend to by another battery ASAP and it will be the larger capacity one.

- Came with no disks and backup, it would be good if it came with a stick boot device.

+ It's easy to open it and add an extra 1GB RAM memory. It's got bluetooth whereas quite a few other netbooks don't. I really like the format, the design and the price is really good and a screen of 10" is an ideal size. Also, I find it better that it's got Windows XP rather than Linux as I want my son to start using a PC on a Windows based system.

- The battery could last a bit longer. I may need to buy an extra one.

- The fn key is on the bottom left i would preffer it if it got moved 1 to the right and the controll key moved left.

+ Once you install OS X on it and finish tweaking, it's a better Mac than my Mac.

- Stock battery lasts two hours, tops. If you intend to use this in anger on the road you'll need a six or nine cell battery. The nine cell will get you seven hours of use - quite a difference!

+ Exactly as described and exceeded my expectations in many areas. Looks and feels better than expected. All round performance is superb and ideal as a mobile computer and/or back up.

- The sound is a little weedy but (even cheap) speakers remedy this very quickly. Had teething problems with WiFi but downloading the drivers was easy and it now works like a dream.

- I had to upgrade the Bios and the Wifi drivers to make it work properly!!

- Being a netbook it has no dvd drive which makes installing software a challange, had it only 3 hours and had to use the factory restore function, I put this down to an update (Internet Explorer 8) it downloaded and didn't seem to like. All's fine now though.

+ Small, fast, simple, cheap. There are very few things I go to by big lap top for since getting this - for 1/4 of the price!

- The scheen half is almost as heavy as the keyboard half so when its on your lap or perched somewhere it always feels like it might fall over if you're not careful.

+ this computer is great i bought it for my sons 15 birthday and he loves it . i prefere it to our big laptop it is so quick and easy to use .

- Windows failed to load on booting. So although it appeared to be a neat machine I couldn't test it. I regretted having to return it, but I was told it could take a month to return it and get windows reloaded and that was out of the question

+ the convenient features it has, and the general convenience of the product, it's a handy little netbook, especially if you don't want the size of a full laptop but want some of the same features.

- The speakers are slightly "tinny" with no bass to them and quiet as a result, but no major problem, just some software that needs to be updated too, tweaks and fixes but it's all okay now

Manual included was largely for desktops - I was caught out by no information on the function keys (e.g. F11 to switch wireless on and off) - obvious once you are famiiar with the machne I know!

+ This is a great product. It's very light and portable yet offers great functionality. The screen is excellent - bright and clear.

- Battery advertised as 3 hours, my battery is lucky to achieve 1hr 40mins. Customer services state that, that is a good battery life. Beleive this to be a misrepresentation in the facts on this netbook.
