+ A sn=mall powerful computer for everyday office use on the go.

- Windows needs a lot of things disabling to get maximum performance.

- Wireless adaptor is too tempremental, had to do two system restores to get the PC to find the wireless card. It finally gave up the ghost after only two months.

Power cord. This is bigger than the power supply, why do we need a power cord designed for 3kw on an item like this?. If you are to travel with this machine, this is not a trivial matter.

+ It's very compact, and the next version of this improves on it. The screen is pretty much perfect not to large and not to small most if not all websites translate very well on it and the keyboard is a great size as well. It is light and very mobile so fills in all the correct boxes.

- The battery has a very small charge on it and makes long journeys with now power socket a bit more frustrating although the processor power mode increases the battery life!

The keyboard is not at all cramped, it is light and easy to carry around and I've not experienced any problems with using it.

Keyboard key travel and feel just right

- Battery life poor, trackpad is small and one piece rocker switch for the trackpad buttons is a bad idea.

- A book stating what symbols mean would have helped wireless was hard to figure out how to turn it on and off.

You dont need a laptop, just buy on eof these you wont be dissapointed.

the spec is qiute impressive for the money, best purchasr i made this year

- only fault i would say is no cd drive, but its not really an bad point

+ small, quiet, looks smart, can upgrade the ram and wifi card very easily (to 2gb ram, atheros). runs mac osx, windows xp and arch linux fine, but if you want AHCI you have to switch it off in the bios before you install xp, then install the driver and re-enable it in the bios. arch linux and osx work fine with AHCI out of the box.

- not many just that the screen isnt a high enough resolutuon which makes the web browser not show as much of the page as on a normal computer, but it is something you get used to

- A pity the resolution couldn't be increased to 1024 x 768 to give full height. However, given the size of the screen the resolution is quite adequate.

+ Small, light, cheap and perfectly good computing power. A much wider, better keyboard than comparable machines, and a good, high resolution matt screen. As far as I can see there is currently no competition - this is easily the best "netbook" on the market.

- Very low quality speakers. But you'd use headphones with this sort of machine anyway.

- Battery life could be better. Screen resolution sometimes makes websites difficult to read without scrolling.

+ Great size. Not too small for typing, but nottoo big for traveling in a hand bag. Microsoft Works is ok, but the advertisements get a little annoying. I'm a PhD student, and the wifi and small size for traveling is the greatest.

- the plug is terribly large. I'm used to the American plugs, which don't take up space, but these GB-three pronged things are mammoth and heavy.

+ Great construction and build quality, just the right size, reliable, has just the right amount of hardware and software for on the move. I've had it now for 3 months and find it invaluble. Even for watching bbc iplayer, the quality is quite acceptable. A top product !!

- None to speak of. The one area i have to look at is that it turns itself off sometimes for no apparent reason. I suspect it will be in the settings somewhere.

- I have had a couple of incidences of the screen going blank and needing to be rebooted, which turned out to be tricky MS Word would have been handy

Selecting Windows XP is a good choice of a now well proven operating system.

- Have not found any.

+ Good sized keyboard, clear screen and very light to carry.

+ The size and weight are just fine for travelling.

- The Fn key does not work with the cursor control keys unless 'Num Lock' is also set which reduces the use of the now 'number' keys. I have been told that this is normal!!!!

- Mouse button could be split in two but more importantly it could have a little space between the button and the mouse pad - I sometimes brush the pad when clicking causing the pointer to move. Otherwise great

Very robust (so far) - I dropped it from waist height and it still works!

+ Very compact and light. Quick. Firm keys. Wireless connectivity has worked everywhere I've tried, and I haven't missed not having a CD-rom.

- Running under XP is slightly restrictive when your desktops are all Vista. Touchpad can be very sensitive. Battery life is acceptable but not brilliant.

+ Excellent device running all someone working on the move requires in a small lightweight convenient device. Perfect for capturing notes at meetings and powerful enough to run most day to day software.

- Short battery life. Static buildup on the mobo causes the bootup to fail occasionally which is quite irritating. I have been told it is not a recallable fault.

+ easy to use. quick to boot up. clear and good quality visuals. at first, you may find the screen size to be annoying but once you get used to it, you will wonder why you ever had anything larger. great for women who can carry it in their handbags! i bought it as a present for my wife; i thought she would hate it, but she says it's the best laptop she's ever had (and she's had toshiba, sony etc).
