+ Great sound, very loud for such a compact system. The sub packs a good punch and it doesn't get too messy. When you do crank up the volume it does lose some composure, but then that is when it is very loud. Overall I am very pleased with this system

- The sub box is slightly bigger than I would have liked, doesn't easily fit under my desk. Comes with a straight heaphone jack for the input, and my laptop has the phones output on the righthand side so it sticks out right where I use the mouse. Would have been good with a right angled jack.

+ Fantastic sound quality for the money - my ipod played through the Aego M is as good as through my Bose wave unit. Excellent build quality - really solid construction. Impressive room filling sound from such small speakers. Not to the degree that you would get from a system with a set of decent bookshelf speakers but impressive none the less. Again it compares very favourably with the Bose.

- None really. It's worth mentioning is that the base setting switch is difficult to get to but as you rarely need to access it that's not really a problem.
As you would expect for this kind of set up, it plays certain types of music better than others. Base is always excellent, as is high frequency (giving good reproduction for dance music etc and also more acoustic things). Where it struggles slightly is on powerful midrange stuff that falls between the capabilities of the 2 speaker types (e.g. guitar based stuff) but this at least 50% of what I listen too and is certainly not an issue. So far I have also only used them with an ipod and in my experience the ipod output struggles in similar areas so I can't rule out this being the source. I still wouldn't let this put me off - they are phenomenal for the money!

+ The speaker system was well built, easy to set up, powerful and offered higher sound quality than norm.

- The bass emitted from the system is far too high for neighbour-considerate people living in flats or semi-detached properties, this was even with the bass adjusted to the lowest of three settings, and also with the bass set to minimum on my PC's various media players. Radio stations played through the speakers (via the internet) emmited so much bass that I could not bear it. I had to sell the speaker system due to these problems. Some of the higher sound frequencies did not project that well, they often sounded weak and wishy-washy. The sub-woofer was too large, almost the size of my PC's CPU and thus difficult to find room for, even on a large desk!

- The instructions are poor, athough no complicated to set up, it should include something a little clearer to help those who may not be used to buying this type of product.

- not really a bad point, but a remote control would be useful if you wanted to use it as more than PC speakers.

+ Excellent sound quality and for the money you will not get anything better. A nice range on the sub and the satalites offer a crystal full bodied sound which is perfect for most genres of music.

- I struggle to find any faults with this product really, it doesnt have any hidden unwanted surprises, you know what your buying. If you find a negative point then you have obviously not done your research. The only slight negative I could comment on would be that it doesnt seem comfortable with playing heavy metal, but that probably wont bother most people.

+ This is a beautiful piece of kit. Well made, well designed and well specified it has the feel of a product that has been designed to meet a specification rather than a budget.
It sounds wonderful, doesn't cost a fortune (in fact it's remarkably inexpensive) and it's a UK product - what more do you want?

- At the price it sells for there are no bad points. It could be twice the price and there would still be none.

+ for a desktop computer system the sound is about as good as one could expect. the treble units are of diminutive size but deliver an impressive sound stage. the sub contributes a well extended bass provided it is not set too high. for the money there is very little else to compare with it when i bought it.

- for placing the treble units on the desk it would be nice to have some felt or rubber feet.. they are a bit scratchy without.

+ Brilliant value for money. I have linked my i-pod via the 3.5mm jack and works very well. Lots of different connection options too. The overall sound quality in my opinion is very good, and the three base settings give good flexibilty depending on the use of the system.

- The design might not be to everyones taste, but due to base being non-directional and the speakers so small the system can be discreetly hiddden.
